Mortal Kombat isn't *just* about the fatalities, just like GTA isn't *just* about killing people.

But take either out, and we're talking pg-rated Die Hard - it's *not* the same product, and nobody will give a crap about it.
The promise of news to come, is not in itself, news.
Agreed, they've got it backwards. Cable companies will never be good enough at hardware or "not-fucking-customers-in-the-back-of-a-Volkswagen" to provide our games.

They will however eventually be relegated to providing services that our game consoles access...
I don't get it. If you only weigh 1% of normal, how will running burn any calories?
"...is it any wonder Cupertino's working so hard to lock this stuff down?"

Of course it's a huge wonder. I'm not gonna hack my damn phone, nor am I paying full retail price for a locked phone. Ever. No matter how good it looks, or what it does. It's pure stupidity. Apple would have made a lot more money just honestly selling phones that it will trying to be one of the shady characters for which the US cell market is famous. Personally I'm waiting for 3G, mainly because Australian 2G carriers charge $1/minute at the cheapest for GPRS data. Telstra, our biggest carrier charges 2c/kb for GPRS. Yes, you read that right, $20 a meg. But on 3 I'm paying $29 for a GB a month, not taking into account the fact it's much faster.
Mmmm, kina like a honda civic with TRD stickers...
I was gonna suggest Midnight Resistance, but damn, flashback / another world (both on one cart would be nice) would definitely make me smile. Especially if they had new content.
DO WANT!

I've got reasonable pockets.... Make it tough enough to take a bit of a slap around (or a nice hard plastic case or something), and count me in. If the interface was nice and it had 3G i'd ditch the n73 and the touch in a heartbeat for one of those bad boys!
Odds aren't great, but the things I'd do for one of those ;-)
supoib!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
