I've watched the original Top Gear (aswell as Xtra), the jokes were lame and even (I couldn't believe it) Clarkson sucked. I believe Motoring shows take a tremendous amount of time to be entertaining, and the presentators learn as they go along, it took Clarkson ages to be funny and James May sucked, its only in the last 2 seasons that he started showing his true colors and in this season he Reallly impressed me with the way hes changed (he became sharper & more witty). These shows take time, I mean Xzibit was a great Tv Host, but if you notice his jokes weren't funny at all and that had to do with the lack of experience. He was only funny when he tried to be Ghetto (people laughing at him).

All Motoring shows require a tremendous amount of effort to be done in an entertaining manner, which is why Fifth Gear (which has more seasons than top gear and which has 2 or 3 presentators from Original Top Gear and Top Gear Xtra [ the girl for instance]) stopped trying to be funny and became more technical (partly why the show survived, when there is such a good show like Top Gear UK).

Clarkson has been on Tv for a long time, in Top gear Xtra his jokes were so Lame! But now he leaves you in tears with his jokes.

You cannot compare any motoring show that just started with Top Gear. Top gear has been around for a long time and the Big 3 are Big, because of their experience. Even Hammond who was experienced wasn't getting a lot of laughs (although he was better than Clarkson at the time he first joined).

Give these shows a chance, they always start like this, in the end they will get more experienced, presentators will change & the presentators will eventually be on par with the seasoned UK ones.

The US one will be Just as Bad unless its somebody with 10 years experience in Hosting popular shows, these type of programs will always start out as lame and akward.

My advice is watch them for the cars now, and reap the benefits later. These type of shows age like wine, they are better as the years go by.

Vista is ok and its not disappointing.
Its Crash Friendlier, especially when Aero is on.
Its hardware intensive, but nearly all new OS's demand higher requirements, imagine if nobody wanted to Upgrade their hardware...we'd be using 8 bit cpus with 512kb memory.

No operating system is perfect, not even Mac.
I've had experience with a Mac and it was great, although i couldn't open every file with it and lack of Command promt was a bit scary.

I just prefar Vista to any other OS, the others are just not my style.

Can't explain it, with Vista I have the notion that I can do anything with it, that any other OS either takes too much to do or cannot do.

I mean I've used Novell Linux, and its a hassle.
I've used Mac and compatibility was an issue, so was the fact that the person couldn't upgrade, without buying a new Mac ( i love upgrading to save money).

I dont think Vista was disappointing, although Windows Millenium was the WORST OS ever.
