Trackpoint? I would buy in a heartbeat if one of these netbooks got the little nubby thing. With no trackpad it would make for a smaller shape.
Nice call on the Yahoo Microsoft no-deal. Also hints coming out of the GOOG YHOO search synergies. Very prescient.
What an unfortunate name. In China, the running joke about 3soft (or San Ruan) is:

1) soft knees
2) soft belly
3) soft

This comment, San Ruan is reserved for the wives and gf's of men who are losing their battles on these 3 fronts. :)

I paid the $$$. Plus I paid another $200 to move the lifetime from the S1 to the S3. Waiting for the 2 comcast cable cards was a hassle but its all ok now. I actually prefer the S1 remote to the S3 one. Anyway, I use a logitech harmony 550 that works fine with the S3. All in all I find the S3 a nice update since it was all done at once, one massive upgrade of TV etc to an HD setup. The tv is a 71" 1080P samsung projector (7178) with 2HDMI, one for the S3 and another for a PS3 when I decide to get one. (I worked on some of the PS3 hw so I have a personal incentive to get one). The plan was to get a blueray drive ergo... thus wait for the PS3.
How about a MAME driver for those vector games? Presumably the galvos can be controlled by a microprocessor.
Thinking about it, that controller could do a great job on a re-do of a game like 'Manhunt'. The moves needed for the plastic bag, the glass shard etc. All can be done with a motion controller.
New attacks could be done also like a beaker of acid.
Could make for some pretty compelling gameplay.
Do we really care? Delayed, fine, wake me when its all over. Productive work can be done today. I use Linux, OS X and XP, I don't see the buy-in here for Vista, what do they bring to the table thats so compelling that I cannot get elsewhere with apps on XP or another OS. Probably includes built-in DRM for your 'protection'. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I bought two of them. One for a woman I know and one for myself. Its very cool. We set ours to 'commune' (I think of that star trek 'return of the archons', happy communing! :) ).

Anyway once set to commune, if you move the ears on one, the other ones ears move too shortly there after (seems < 1minute). This is nice since we can tell when we are home.

I bought ours from Fnac and had a good test of my HS french! :)

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
