Articulating display? Sheesh. Half the fun of photography was getting down on the ground or up in the air to get the shot you wanted. With this new feature, I'm going to be expecting higher resolution upskirts and "myspace" angles than ever before.
Granted, this camera isn't going to be marketed at me though. :) The gymnastics involved with "traditional" photography helps keep me limber and in somewhat decent shape.

I'll keep my D300, F5, and FE's.

I see this as a way to reign in computer prices. Sure you can get a cheap "metered" computer and pay your monthly "computing" utility bill, or you could pay out some serious wing wangs to buy an "un-metered" computer. If something like this catches on and is actually secure, say goodbye to the sub-1000$ computers we've come to know and love.

Windows Vista is starting to seem more like Windows ME in the face of Windows 7 coming out and considering that Windows XP is still suitable for just about anything. If I were using windows Vista I'd be pretty pissed off (at least if I had purchased it in any form).

I setup a folder for video in Sites, and I can access and stream xvid to my ps3's web browser. Sadly no hulu or netflix though.

considering how badly I shank a golf ball, those hot shots balls could save me a couple of bucks. Hell, I'd save you a couple of bucks on shipping by stopping by and picking them up (though I'd still rather have something like a huge ass monitor)

:)

I want the biggest thing! I live near santa monica so I can come pick it up, and you'll save money on shipping!
Doug, I had that problem before, and trust me I've checked the connectors. It's the weirdest thing, because it is actually getting power. If it weren't, it just turns off. Like I said before, I can do a factory reset on it etc, it just simply fails to charge. What's more, is that this happened after I unfortunately let the phone die completely one night (or at least get almost dead). It simply isn't charging even though it's getting power, and the only thing that has changed with the phone over this year is the software (hell, i've never even jailbroken it....)

I've read that some people with this issue have been to the apple store and got a replacement free (out of warranty even). I'm thinking about going over there just to see, though considering the age and condition of the phone (misc scratches and stuff, I'm not holding my breath that I won't hear "looks like yuo've dropped it....")

Cheers

I've had my iphone for just over a year now, and it has been a great phone for me. Since the 2.0+ updates, it has gone to hell in a handbasket quickly. In fact, now I am without a working phone at all. Somehow the phone has decided it won't charge. It's getting power, recognizes when it's plugged in, and I can even get itunes to recognize it if I put it into restore mode. It will actually go through and restore the phone, but once it finishes, it goes back to the dead battery screen.

Looking on the apple support forums, the only advice anyone can seem to give is "there's quite a few people with this problem and the only solution is to wait for a software update."

So, because of bad programming I'm without a working phone. That is the worst part about this. They took an ipod (and believe me, I still think combining a phone and ipod is a good idea) and mixed it with a phone, and merged them so much that the important part of it becomes useless when something goes wrong. They need to look at how this has been put together and at least design in some sort of failsafe feature that will let this thing function as a bare bones phone.

Exploring volcanoes eh? Must be made of Dolomite

wth? it went from "Verifying" back to "Updating"

Is that normal?

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
