This is going to be "The Hills" at 35,000 feet!
I guess I'm missing the point on this device. With memory cards so cheap, why not just throw in a new card (and another, and another) until you have time to download the data to a computer where you've already got a back up system in place?
Sorry, I'm not sure I am understanding what is meant by "Man Builds Lamborghini", is this a kit car? Did he restore a damaged Lamborghini? Or did he actually fabricate each of piece of metal, plastic and rubber by hand? Or was this one of those situations where he smuggled each piece out of the factory in his lunch box?
Will it still be cheaper to simply replace the entire machine every time you need new cartridges?
"...as well as an added 1GB of internal memory, which Canon claims is a first for a compact photo printer"

Right, and there is a reason for that. Also, why does it need a screen? My camera already has one. A calendar?? WHY?

The Polaroid Pogo looks infinitely more "portable" (like it might actually fit in your pocket) and without the Fisher Price styling.

"but it looks like that's definitely no longer the case"

yep, looks like - definitely. uh-huh.
Yeah, just the other day I was thinking how cool it would be to geotag my photos and then make a VOIP call. (but I like the google maps feature, anyone know of any other devices that have that?)
Why does the ipod have to be sticking up on top like that? I wish someone would come up with a design where the ipod looks like it was integrated into the device rather than as an after-thought. This thing looks great other than that.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I love my little computing companion but I often find myself missing a full sized keyboard. I have been looking at several of these portable and flexible keyboards, but I can't seem to make up my mind about which I should buy. I don't want the keyboard to be overly expensive, but I want it to be good quality. Also, how difficult is it to type on these keyboards? Thanks!"
