They should just implement XMPP. Then they wouldn't have to merge and it would still be possible to chat from one to the other.
Don't get too excited. They're implementing "Simple Profile" but both XviD and DivX are "Advanced Simple Profile".
Honestly I'd rather see something based on Firefox than something based on Internet Exploder.
USB isn't a problem since practically any computer has USB. The main problem is that it only supports NTFS and HFS+ filesystems, neither of which work particularly solidly under Linux. As far as I can tell, the only reason it would need to know about the filesystem is in order to estimate the remaining disk space... other than that it shouldn't care, if it really is just a virtual disk.

I am a bit skeptical about how fast the guy removed the second disk too. Unless it had already copied all the data onto the third disk... but I would have expected that to take more time than he gave it.
Having just been to Japan (actually I'm still there, today is check out day) I'll agree that almost all driers are of this type, however it's also true that the vast majority of restrooms don't even have a drier. :-)
The main reason we don't need caps lock is that there are better ways to do the same thing, such as stylesheets. :-)
4 hours? Pathetic. By the time you get to your destination the battery's flat.
Yes, I really think Nintendo have to worry about the tiny nation of Indonesia.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
