Is it just me or does that look like an LCD?

Yes, of course. However they don't allow anything that requires superuser permissions, purely a security issue. Apps could be used maliciously. It also stops you from cool apps like WiFi tethering and CPU overclocking. MOST of my apps from my G1 weren't usable on my Droid because it wasn't rooted. =(

Today is a great day.
TiVo has this great potential to break out something amazingly next-gen (actual next-gen tech, not just calling the next crappy iteration next-gen), but instead they tease us with morbidly slow & unusable UI betas that don't run on current Motorola hardware.

The sad thing is that TiVo's UI is badly outdated, but it's still the best thing around if you want to steer clear of HTPCs.
Watching PC players is like heaven. I get so frustrated having to watch 360 players struggle with their cumbersome controls.
I log in fine with my gmail, but when I click on the chromium tab on the far left I get this page that asks me to sign into my account at Google.com. No amount of tries succeeded. It says something about Google Short Links uses your google.com Account for Sign In. It's basically a partner page that expects me to sign into the Administrator account for Google.com which I don't have.

How are you guys getting access to that tab? I feel like the purpose of this build is to see all the features and I can't even do that.

My thoughts are not in line with this review. I think it's better in every way.. the first was too damn easy even on Expert. I'm finally challenged in L4D2 with a smarter AID, more challenging scenarios in campaigns, and most importantly -- harder and better modes for the hardcore players like myself.

Realism on Expert is tough. FINALLY I require medkits.
Cool, except none of this technology actually exists. His demos were poorly visualized and there's no actual proof that this is even possible in the next 20 years.
Anybody who pays this is a fool. Root your device and use the free tethering apps out there. Verizon must think we're iPhone users.
Because the 2.0 SDK was only JUST released. The only reason DROID got it is because Google has had their hand in it. A 2.0 OTA update would be really simple and inevitable for the Liquid. :)
If it's Snapdragon, it's capable of at least 1Ghz or 1.3Ghz (some 1.5Ghz). All you need to do is root your phone, and "overclock" it back to 1Ghz where it belongs. Surely they did it to give it a longer battery life because 768Mhz is more than enough for Android to fly.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a 12- or 13-inch ultraportable that can also play modern games at a reasonable level, for less than $1,000. I know the brainiacs out there can help me out. Love the site, thanks!"
