Interesting observation considering the Engadget liveblog said that it was downloading at roughly 1% per second. Even if your connection is half that speed you'll still be able to start the movie within a relatively short period of time and it'll finish long before the end.

Hyperbole in criticism is downright silly. Pick on a product for its flaws, not for flaws you've created in your mind.
I can dig it if you've got a criticism about a product, but deriding those who are interested in it simply because you don't like it is a little juvenile.
Dear Engadget, I'll take you out to dinner then make sweet sweet love to you if I win.

Cheers!
You there! Yes you! The group that helped design the Blu-ray format as part of the BD Alliance. You aren't... allied, are you? Colluding? Working together?

Well, sir, we don't fancy that here in Europe. Give us old fashioned confusion wherein parties don't come to an agreement about a technology specification and work to promote its use. No siree.
I own a PS3 and I didn't realize some of those games were available. This is the type of advertising we really need to see out of Sony from here on in.
Personally I'm going to wait to see what the miracle screen keyboard is like before I start bitching about needing a slide-out, flip out, whatever out keyboard
So... 1 million sold? Or 1 million shipped? It all comes down to "do I trust Microsoft to give me accurate numbers on ANY of their products?"

The answer for me? Absolutely not.
I've got my PS3 set to autostart Folding whenever it's idle for more than 10 minutes. I watch my movies and play games normally, and let it fold when I'm not.

Unlike my Xbox 360, I'm not terrified to leave my PS3 on for extended periods. I'd love to see the 360 added to the "Fold" if you will, but the idea of leaving it on for an entire work unit brings visions of red rings.
It's good that he finally worked up the stones to man up and eat some humble pie. Letting your ego chat for you usually lands you in stupid situations - the question is, can J keep it up for a month?

The Magic 8Ball says no.
"It sort of reminds me of spock's tricorder."

"Captain, I'm getting readings... Shields are down, we only have a subscription service available"

"Cap'n, I canna do it, doon't have thee accessories!"

"Damnit Jim, I'm a Zen, not an iPod!"
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm in the market for a new phone and money isn't a limitation. I'm also not partial to any particular US carrier, but here are some of the features I'd like to have: WiFi, GPS, good coverage in lots of places, push Gmail (a must!), physical keyboard (a must!), a touchscreen, decent battery life and a relatively slim body. And please, nothing that has a fruit logo on it. No offense to the fruit fans, though. Thanks!"
