OCZ cranks clock speed, DRAM on Vertex Turbo SSD {Engadget}

Jul 8th 2009 3:37PM SSD's are high performance items. Like performance parts for your car, they are not wal-mart cheap stock yet. In time they will be. You get what you pay for, if you want the fastest performance, and theoretically more reliable, this is the ticket.

Also... I remember paying $1000 for a 500 MEG server drive years ago - when a grand meant something.

Mvix Ultio "It Plays All" HD media streamer debuts in the U.S. July 6 for $179 {Engadget}

Jun 25th 2009 1:10PM This is a great idea if it works solid. I have Vista Media Center PC’s on all my TV’s – at best it’s a pain in the butt.

HTC Hero hands-on: Flash, keyboard and ruminations (updated!) {Engadget}

Jun 24th 2009 9:16AM As the owner of three Winmo devices, two are which are HTC... all I can say is more garbage.

Clear shuffles through its last upstanding citizen, tells the rest to fall in line {Engadget}

Jun 23rd 2009 12:04PM Airlines have got totally obnoxious with extra fees. I had to pay $50 at LAX for an "expedite" fee for flying United. I arrived for a business flight two hours early, and IT WAS NOT ENOUGH. I have to pay a premium for their inefficiency. Now where is the incentive for the airline to fix this, when they make extra money off it.

iPhone 3G S line begins in NY, weather be damned {Engadget}

Jun 18th 2009 7:37PM Unless it's for medicine for your sick child, camping is for total losers. People have to stop acting like babies.... "I WANT IT NOW"!!!

Safari 4 released today, offering 'unparalled speed' {Engadget}

Jun 8th 2009 4:31PM I'm impressed, I'm using it right now. What is great for me, I have three media center PC's. I enlarge the fonts so they are readable from a distance of 10-15 feet. Other browsers take up too much useless space for the title bar, tabs etc. This is way more compact. I'm not an apple fan be any means, but this is promising.

Miyamoto "not worried at all" about Sony and Microsoft's motion controllers {Engadget}

Jun 8th 2009 4:18PM The Wii is the most overrated console in gaming history. I still cannot understand the love this system gets. Yes, I own one.. my kid plays it. Additionally, I watch him play it, he mostly uses the controllers in a standard way, and very little motion. He still liked the Wavebird controller the best, and uses it when he can. As for me and the Wii - I have no desire whatsoever. I also have 2 xbox 360's and a PS3 - they get most of my attention. To each is own I guess.

Fatal1ty teams with Fusion-io to launch 80GB ioXtreme PCI Express SSD {Engadget}

Jun 7th 2009 5:53PM I was at E3 - and I saw the booth and demo. Pretty impressive stuff. If money is no object.... why not?

"Vista Capable" lawsuit loses class action status, relevance {Engadget}

Feb 19th 2009 2:36PM Boe - I'm calling bullcrap on your post. NOT ONE CRASH IN 6 YEARS? Not one bluescreen out of 1000 computers...

With reliability like that, you should be making the decisions for this nation, not just computers.

"Vista Capable" lawsuit loses class action status, relevance {Engadget}

Feb 19th 2009 2:16PM Finally, the courts make a decent decision. I’m so sick of all the Vista hating. Yes, if you want your ghetto ass 486 no name to run Vista, you’re out of luck. On an Intel P45 chipset or better, it runs fine. I’m a software developer (SQL and C) and my uptime is weeks at a time.

People have this romantic notion that XP was awesome; it has different, but similar reliability.

As for MAC, people have to get it through there THICK heads, Apple controls the hardware. Microsoft has to deal with people buying a no-name video card from the gook store on the corner, then wonder why their computer runs like crap.
