AA jets have DC outlets under most of the seats, usually every other row. The outlets are easy to miss but they are there in economy class even. It's the only feature you don't pay for. Too bad there's no way to pay for good service or on-time arrivals with AA though. They otherwise flat-out suck.
What's the betting pool on the jailbreak release date for 2.0 firmware? One week? One day? 0-day? ;-)
This is all well and fine -- but wouldn't this only intensify your anger if you put in your money and the unit fails to dispense the selected item? I suppose pushing the unit over face-first is the only true satisfaction you could get out of breaking something then, right?
two thoughts:

1. This is a relevant story. If you travel every week it serves as a good warning that TSA doesn't educate their dipshit staff about new technology.

2. If you think their reaction to the MBA is sad, you should have been there when I went thru with an Apple //c last year! The power supply is a monsterously heavy brick containing a large, dense transformer. Not to mention the old clunky 5.25 drive and no harddrive. Wow did they freak right out. I didn't miss my flight though. They swabbed it for the 5sec explosive check. That was it.

Makes me wonder if the dude with the MBA was really just running late...
It's Rockman! (or Megaman, depending on which side of the pond you live on)
Downgrade to 1.1.1, do the unlock (jailbreakme.com worked well for me) and then use OktoPrep to safely upgrade to 1.1.2 .

What is everyone complaining about? You can jailbreak 1.1.2, just requires some extra time and paying attention to what you're doing and don't use a tutorial from someone who can't spell correctly, as that is not a good sign that they are competent. ;-)

(I actually found the right steps in a text file accompanying Jailbreak 1.1.2 -- http://conceitedsoftware.com/iphone/site/112jb.html)
Easier and cheaper solution: Get a dual-sided high-speed scanner. There's a great fujitsu one (in the $300 range) that even comes with Acrobat and can dump output straight to PDF files. So take a book to Kinko's and pay them $5 to chop off the binding. Take it home and run it through said dual-sided scanner. You can PDF a book in a very short amount of time, provided you don't care that you've more or less destroyed it in the process (ok, so you could get the book re-bound in some cases but no guarantees there)

Before you think I'm out of my mind picture being able to walk around campus with a large pile of your books with full-text searching (thanks to OCR) and not developing a serious back injury in the meanwhile.
Well, on the bright side the tats will soon be covered in a thick layer of hair. So he won't have to feel as bad about having them when the Zune goes the way of "Microsoft Home" and "Clippy". >;-)
Silly script kiddie, that's not code. :-P
Because your prof is in the ivory tower and most people in the ivory tower are shamelessly devoid of reality.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
