My current watch is a fossil with a broken face. Stupid flies in the summer, tried to take one out while driving and smashed the glass on my watch against my door.
This is classic corporate crap, a bunch of IT junkies figure out a way to get free phone calls over the internet. Big Verizon finds out and slaps a patent on it, but does absolutely nothing with it. Vonage comes along and creates an incredible profitable company off what Verizon thinks a bad idea but still a possible threat. Verizon waits for Vonage to get big and VOIP to become a household term and then sues. Now just wait, Verizon is going to make an offer to buy out Vonage, now that they are at their lowest.
Price wars, good for them, great for us. Bring it on, I'm waiting, (sure with an empty wallet, but I'm still waiting)
55K, holy crap
I think it's great that more and more people are being exposed to a linux distro as easy to use as Ubuntu. The average person buying this computer is most likely buying it for a son or daughter in school to do their homework on. I've been using ubuntu for the last 7 months now, and have rarely come across anything too complicated to figure out. It is by far one of the most complete distributions put together for the entry level linux user, and for those that want to take it a step further, there are tons of open forums and blogs to pick information off of. Lets face it, for the average student, when it comes down to it a printed term paper is gonna look the same whether its printed off a Windows, Mac, or Linux machine.
Working for a retailer, no they don't have any legal right to charge for the additional 4 laptops. You are only allowed to bill for the amount agreed upon by the consumer, this is why it's possible to dispute (and win) undisclosed shipping charges.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
