Jun 3rd 2009 8:27AM Let's not forget that computers have using similar tech with hollywood studios (aka green screen special effects) for DECADES. Technology is constantly evolving and borrowing ideas from each other. And, I'm ok with that.

Jun 3rd 2009 8:21AM Games that will take advantage of this tech will most likely have the environment on-screen move automatically where you don't have to walk in-place or simulate walking. That, or have a second one-handed Nunchuk-like device that has an analog stick at the thumb command that could be used to move your character while your other hand controls the weapon/item/device.

Jun 2nd 2009 8:49AM Yes, it would be great if the camera had those features, but maybe you're forgetting this is not a professional videocamera. This is like asking why point-and-shoot cameras don't perform 24-zone metering.

No, actually, SSDs are NOT like every other kind of component. Their lack of moving parts makes them EXPONENTIALLY more dependable and reliable than traditional hard drives.

Apr 23rd 2009 3:20PM I remember playing my Gameboy with Castlevania and Super Mario Land. Nemesis, Zelda Link's Awakening, TMNT, Tetris were some of my other favorites.
One of the best parts about the Gameboy was it's ability to play games in direct sunlight. The black LCD worked well in the sun and I didn't mind travelling with it. Just the opposite with the DS and PSP :(

Apr 23rd 2009 2:51PM I completely disagree. The photograph was taken from a great angle. Problem is, the aperture was too large and creates too much of the bokeh effect, which obscures the rest of the phone. Normally, a depth of field such as this is used to create an emotional effect or to blur out unwanted objects from a photo, but in this case it was to the photo's detriment.

Sony sells 50 million PSPs worldwide, Mario unimpressed {Engadget}
Feb 13th 2009 12:27PM re: tekdroid
I believe what they were talking about is the PSPs highly-reflective screen, as compared to the DS screen, which is subset into the casing more and doesn't reflect light nearly as much (i.e. glare). While in the sun or other brightly lit areas, the DS can be viewed much more easily without having to tilt the unit around to compensate whereas the PSP is nigh unviewable in these situations.
Those of you complaining about the PSP battery life: you guys are aware that Sony released a higher capacity battery, right? The 2200 mah version extends the battery life by at least 2 hr over the 1800 mah version, depending on the content you're viewing. 4 hrs of play time still doesn't compare to DS, but it isn't too bad, considering the PSP's power and screen size.
