BUYER BEWARE!!! Nowhere is it explicitly stated on the shuttle website that this machine is crippled for the purposes of a HTPC. The x16 PCI-E slot is only available for use with a graphics card. If you change the jumper to enable it it DISABLES the HDMI output rendering the box useless. This means that you are restricted to using PCI based TV Tuner cards and the x16 slot is worthless to those of us who are not concerned with gaming performance.

Someone at Shuttle was using a bong and a weegee board for product planning! What use is a HTPC that disables the touted HDMI capability in the presence of a PCI-E TV Tuner?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
