Awesome!
Just got off the phone with Dell. I had purchased an XPS 1530 yesterday through the employee purchase program for $1579.91 including tax and shipping (2.5 GHz proc, 320 GB 7200 RPM HD, 4GB RAM, LED LCD, 3yr warranty w/accidental damage, Bluetooth, Intel Wireless N, etc). I tried to get them to add on the Mini to my order, but he had to build a new system. Matching the same options I had configured, the 1530 came out to $2192.92 BEFORE tax and shipping, and I would have to add the Mini for another $99 and any upgrades from the base configuration. So their $99 *deal* would cost me $700 minimum extra to my original order to get the laptop I wanted plus the Mini. Needless to say, I did not order it.

When your electric bill fluctuates from $210 to $290, this unit could be really handy.
David,
If they did that and sold it for $399, I might just fork over the $$$ to buy one.
Right on Kyle,

I have three other TV's hooked up directly to cable with no tuner boxes (yes, I do rent one box for DVR). I don't need the cable boxes for these other TV's so why should I pay to rent them monthly or purchase them? Why should I shell out $120+ to have these TV's play digital channels? I know this $40 credit is not coming out of our taxes. Even if the Government was only charging 1M, it's still a rip off.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"What's the best gaming laptop for under 1,500 bucks? I had my eye on the P7805u (Gateway), but it seems Best Buy has run out for the time being. Also, as a secondary question, I like the specs on brands such as iBUYPOWER and CyberPower and the like, but are they reliable? I'm a little worried about buying labels that aren't huge like Dell, Gateway, etc. Thanks!"
