Ok sooooo, it's an Nvidia ION without CUDA and GPU processing, and basic gaming compatibility, with DDR3 RAM which it won't even take advantage off.

Why not just the ION now or wait for the ION2?
The day you'll know how extremely complicated an Operating System is, you'll see that 3 year is not enough time. See how much Vista took in development, because they pretty much decided to redo one form scratch? And despite it's 6 year development.. it still wasn't really ready. It was missing a lot of documentation, pushing hardware manufacture to develop drivers for it, polish Vista even more, update the UI of each software to all match and have a consistent layout with the OS.
I have the Latitude E6400, and I have no spacing between keys, nor large keys on my backlit keyboard. The same applies for my Logitech illuminated keyboard.
Sorry Common Man, No.
So far Apple copied more on Microsoft than anything else. While you praise on you Time Machine, instant search, and all that thinking it's Apple who invented it, Microsoft announced it wall back in 2001, and presented in 2003 for the delayed OS (Vista).

Putting larger icons at the bottom of the screen doesn't immediately means Microosft copied Mac OS. If you used Win7, you would know that they work completely differently.

I don't use a Mac OS, but I don't go around saying junk, bash and lie about it, I just the facts and allow the user decide for himself which OS and xWindows (for Linux) with he person needs best. Every OS (and xWindows UI layout for Linux) has it's strength and weekness. They are no such thing as ideal, or perfect environment for all.
Cake knife?! This one is designed to slice a tomato in mid-air.
Why sue? This is great for Microsoft. It's another article on news sites talking about Windows 7.
Any smart software business would LOVE to have people do this on a exiting product.
@David, he is talking about compatible systems that can runs Win7 smoothly, but still uses XP.
But then you need an XP license if you don't have one for your VMware, if we stay legal.
XPMode provides you with an XP license.
isn't it 20?
12 out 20.

Me it's 10 to 12 most of time.
When I first read the title I told to myself: it must mean this laptop will have some sort of dedicated build-in sound card with better speakers, right, or AT LEAST pffer a pair of headphones. But nope, it seams you pay a lot more for a wallpaper. And if its the one showed in the article picture anyone can do in Paint in 5min tops.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
