So what?! Where's the rule that only in a flight simulator should you be able to take off and land? I had two or three PS2 flying games in which I could do more than just do a high-G turn and press "X". Would it have hurt them to include a wider flight experience and, I don't know, encourage flight sim enthusiasts (like me) to pick up the game too? I only got it because a friend accidentally ordered two and sold one to me dirt cheap.
Code take off and landing, sell it for a couple of bucks, and people like you can ignore it if they want to just press X all day.
