I want to win!
@EB

Wow that's one hell of a solid argument..."I know people who heard from other people that Macs are unhackable." Most Mac users are like most Windows users: non-extremist. Not every Mac user is stupid enough to think that their computer is unhackable, and you know that.
@rj and aj121489

I think a *SWOOSH* perfectly captures the sound of Mitch's sarcasm not registering to you two.

I love these promotions, mainly because last year I got a free iPod and a printer out of buying me MacBook. :)

Just to comment @fish, buying a product that you enjoy and use isn't stupid. I bought a MacBook in late 2007, and couldn't be happier with it. Am I stupid for buying something that I love and use every day?

If the argument for Mac stupidity is cost, then guess what: I don't care. I have enough money to buy one. I'm really not worried about any money that I could have potentially saved. I don't. All I care about is that I purchased a product that I enjoy and feel is worth the money.

In summation, buying a product you like for price you feel is worth it is: not stupid. Bitching about other people buying what they like for the price that they feel is worth it is: very stupid.
@THizzle7XU:

Why do you think that environmentalists fight for protecting and planting trees?

I think that THizzle7XU's statement is either extremely undetectably sarcastic, or unbelievably ignorant. If the latter is the case, (and it probably is) then his ignorance is very telling of the intelligence of many of the global-warming fanatics.

I WANT IT. Soooo badly I want this :P
@Luke

I think you mean he's been watching MSDNC. He sounds like an ignorant liberal hippie to me, not a religious Republican.

(By the way did you get the DNC thing I threw into MSNBC? I actually do know their name.)
@Look_Around_You

See I'm thinking of something like the iPhone. Did Apple copy anyone else with it? Not really. Phones had been around forever and so had touch screens, but Apple changed it in a way that it wasn't copying. While they might have copied things in the past and will continue to in the future, branding the company as lazy people copying everyone else for their products is incredibly short-sighted and biased.

You don't like their products - fine. I don't even like half their offerings. What I see as stupid and unnecessary (and KarlW did some of this, too) is arguing about copying other products when NOTHING HAS EVEN BEEN MADE YET. Both of you are speculating. NOT REAL.

So please, stop b@#%hing on the page and go read other articles.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
