Agree with comment above. PCs get the job done with a fraction of the price. Saying that Vista is so bad that it drove her to Mac is unbalanced and needlessly dramatic.
Another way to look at it; is to stay ahead of nintendo wannabes. Advanced features now solidifies originality of the the concept before the microsofts and apples catch on. Maybe.
The Internet is MY BlackBerry :(
That's how Japanese companies got to where they are today. No shame in observing others and learning...
Nah, that design is to general to cause problems for Apple.
IMHO the importance of brand is a function of how long the technology has been around. Cell phones are relatively recent when compared with regular home phones. I don't care what brand my home phone is, but I sure do when it comes to my mobile phone.

When technologies mature they are commoditised, and when that happens, brand power starts to fade.

Nice option but $30/month is a bit steep.
It's only a matter of time before we have MUCH cheaper VoIP phones.
This is nice, but $100 is too much. I'll wait for a price drop or a cheaper alternative.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
