Sure, the original Halo isn't a great game *now*. But compare it to what was around at the time and it beats the crap out of the competition. Problem is, after that everyone took a leaf out of Bungie's book... And most developers did it better than Bungie did with Halo 1.

Halo is going to sit in the FPS hall of fame next to Wolfenstein 3D and Duke Nukem as a "classic" of the genre, even if it's kind of shitty by today's standards. Because it SET those standards higher than they had been before.
Oh noes, its a murder simulator!!!!11!!!!1!!1!shift+1!!!lolol
I'd rather chase Bambi through the woods in a bulldozer than hunt ducks in that thing...

But that's just me. ;)
Tread lightly, dude.
Beauty, I really need another controller so I can do co-op.
My phone should be a phone, not a computer, gaming console, word processor, IM device, GPS locater, microwave, flashlight, and smudgy POS, all at the same time. Take your multi-purpose shit away and give me a futzing phone.
Frankly, I don't get what the big deal is. It'll be like VHS vs. BETA - they'll both be used for a while, then one of them will just fade out. I don't see why all the one-up-manship is necessary.

As for HD quality, I really can't see that much difference between 720p and 1080i, and barely any difference between 1080i and 1080p. I mean, come on, there's a point where it just gets ridiculous.
Hah! Who needs a subwoofer? Just buy one of those USB-instrument jack converter things and run it through an eight tube analog bass amplifier. *That's* some "oomph", right there.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
