No silly, that was THE OTHER bug that allowed the contents of your computer's memory overwritten with malicious code. Don't get confused :)
Ooh! Give me something cool. Please?!
I've got a HappyLite too. The thing is my savior. I'm in med school so I spend much of the short daylight hours of Memphis in a dark hall looking at powerpoint slides. It's nice to have some pseudo-sunlight to come home to as opposed to darkness in the winter here in Memphis (we're on the far east side of Central time..which sucks).
You do realize that this is a 4x Blu-Ray BURNER, right? That's most of the price difference between your beloved HD-DVD addon for your 360. There are huge differences between those drives. First of all this drive writes 3 different formats (CD, DVD, Blu-Ray)....the 360 drive doesn't write to any format. That adds a lot of complexity (and price) to making a drive. That may not account for the large price difference as Alienware does have a large markup, but it makes up the vast majority of it. I'm not going to get onto the topic of the "format war;" I just wanted to illustrate the reason for the large price difference between these two drives.
I'd rather play it on my PS3, but I also don't have a 360. What the hell, I'll take it. Thanks Engadget.
So I just have to share this:

I was in the local Apple store yesterday getting my MacBook looked at (the power adapter was acting funny...got it replaced) when I was at the Genius bar a guy has an appointment for his iPhone. The tech asked what was up...he slides the iPhone across the table (his wife also had hers out...yes a two iPhone family). I look at the phone and the screen is shattered. He tells the tech that he dropped something on it. After about a half our they GIVE HIM A NEW ONE. He dropped something on it and they gave him a new one. He walked off without even thanking them. (The tech was pretty pissed off after he left because of that--can't say I blame her). I wonder if they're doing that to avoid the bad press of having screens break or something. Blew my freaking mind.
Umm, please?
because....it's on a PS3.
God of War (480i/p) (1) and Gran Turismo (480i/p and 1080i) both revert to their chosen resolution if set above 480i. I've got a 1080p set and they both look better at their highest in-game setting (480p and 1080i respectively) than being upscaled from 480i. The upscaled one looks smoother, but the native resolutions just look cleaner and show more detail. If you switch back to normal (480i) they will be upscaled to 1080p if you have upscaling on. This contradicts what the 1.80 update says (that it can upscale 480i &480p).
Unless I get a copy of the movie on Blu-Ray when it comes out in that price I won't be a taker. I don't buy anything in a movie theater. I spend $16 on a pair of movie tickets. Make it compete with that and I might be interested. I see no way to justify that pricing scheme. It can't cost them much to run that....I mean they already have all the VOD stuff anyways. They don't have to pay rent/upkeep on a whole movie theater. They don't have to hire 30 high school/college kids to run the theater. All they have to do is hire couple tech guys and designate some area in one of their substations. Someone is being greedy. Big suprise.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am looking for a device that will stream sound from one source to several recipients. For example, I want to stream sound from my TV or stereo to my phone or MP3 player that has radio and Bluetooth capabilities. I have looked into radio transmitters and they seem like a decent choice, but I can't find one that uses external power (USB or from the plug) and I would want one with a transmit range of around 50 meters. Thanks!"
