Sprint "seriously considering" spinning off Nextel {Engadget}
May 5th 2008 4:54PM Sprint is not selling Nextel, but IDEN. The new sprint phones, coming out next year, will run PTT on the CDMA network, so IDEN will no longer be used. Basically its an opportunity to some upcoming cell network to run on a crappy, older band.
Or at least that's what they tell us employees.

Teclast T50 PMP offers capacitive multitouch {Engadget}
Feb 6th 2008 6:58AM that page is all bs. the nokia is thicker, fatter, and much more fragile. the battery life is sub par(i use my ipod for days w/o a charge) and you have to have a stylus to use it. Mp3 playback is accepted with the ipod, and you don't have to convert to mp4 or aac. so ha! stick that in your pipe and smoke!

Jan 21st 2008 11:59AM right, but how would the imie work with the Ipod Touch? And i'm sure any good hacker could easily replace the 16digits to 0000-0000-0000-0000 if they wanted to. just a thought
Feeling regretful? Downgrade to that v1.1.3 iPhone / iPod touch {Engadget}
Jan 20th 2008 11:51PM This is how i see the sdk working out:
1. A Dev team member pays for the application apple releases.
2. Said member, then hacks the working software, and distributes it under Installer.app for free.
3. Apple gets angry.
4. Apple charges more and more for the apps.
5. Apple realizes this doesn't work.
6. Apple trys to encrypt their *.app files.
7. Insert Dev Team member from #1, encryption is gone.
8. All the little hacklings rejoice, as they no longer have to pay $5-$10 for an app that should be free anyway.
