New releases are available if you manually search for them, but software update and the Apple site are still showing 7.7 is the latest. Also no NBC content available yet...
I got a chance to play around with the VZW branded Centro about three and a half months ago in Montana of all places. I was very impressed. I have previously owned the Sprint version, and the Verizon one had much more springy keys on it, and web browsing via EVDO was a pleasure. All in all this will be a very solid phone for Verizon, especially at this price point.
I must say that this would be the ultimate machine for taking back and forth with me from meetings to class. Such an awesome piece of technology!
The Best Buy I work at got two in yesterday as well. All stores should see them by the next merch kit. They are street dated for 4/20 though.
Oh and my personal favorite...

Sprint Switches to Verizon Wireless
In a significant enterprise win, Sprint Nextel has switched wireless carriers from themselves to Verizon Wireless. Sprint President and CEO Daniel R. Hesse said, "Look, I know this looks bad, but our employees must be able to communicate on a reliable network to dig us out of this hole we're in."
You know I was actually surprised to see that Alltel is carrying the HTC Touch. I had a customer come in with one the other day and I was amazed to see Alltel branding at the bottom of it. I'd be willing to bet that Alltel will become a force to reckon with in the coming year.
I've got to say that this is probably my favorite thing to come out of CES this year!!
I'm a lot more interested in that remote. I already own the IDA-X001 and I would love to know if this new remote will jive the the iPod interface on that deck?...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
