@SarnGate

Not all of us just watch movies you know. . . I wasn't wild about the transition from 4:3 to 16:10 for computer screens, but have accepted it. But 16:9 is just dumb.

Which is why I would prefer carrying a slate tablet plus a foldable bluetooth keyboard, full-sized, with a touchpad on the right in place of a numeric keypad. Use the slate by itself when "consuming" (browsing web or email, video) and break out the keyboard when work needs to be done.

Alas, nobody has executed it properly yet.

Yeah yeah, and he likes bagels. . .

Pretty bold statement from a blogger - who are you to say? What do you have to back that up? Have you done some consumer studies? Prototyping?

> The bezel is too big, seriously it just makes the device unnecessarily bulky

Actually with a tablet you need something to hold onto. . .
Screw Android - does anyone know if Maemo/Mer can be put on this easily?

Does it work well? I am honestly curious, as in my experience there is a lot of variance with latency on all the data networks I have tried in the US.

I'd say that was Palm with the Treo line, actually. . .
I have a pair of wired Klipsch ProMedia 2.1's connected to a Squeezebox that I think are so-so. I'm not sure what I was expecting for $150 but in my other room I have some old Advent Maestro's connected to a 100w Sherwood-Newcastle amp, and I'm always disappointed when I listen to the Klipsh setup in my bedroom. Shrug.

In this price range most people consider the Logitech Z-2300 to be superior. It would be nice if the reviewer did a side by side comparison. Or for that matter, how do they compare to a pair of M-Audio AV40's? You can't just write a review in isolation. . .
Mostly not a fan so far. I agree with many others about the font - dislike it.

But also the page renders so slowly now. Main content gets rendered, I start reading, then stuff starts jumping around the screen as various dynamic downloads flesh out other parts of the screen. Arrrrrgh - this sucks!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
