Video support is there. Just put your videos in a mixed video/music library.
This is really cool. The blog is incorrect, though. I am using mine to control video right now. You just have to put your videos into a mixed music+movie library and it works great.
No problems here. Except that Monkey Ball doesn't pay any attention to whether I switch the sound off on my phone.
The best tablets are the ones that work they way you work. Since I purchased my slate, I am loath to use any laptop with an attached keyboard. I find typing with my fingers only a couple of inches from the screen to be extremely annoying. In addition, my slate tablet takes up less space and I only need a keyboard about 10% of the time. When I do need a keyboard, I have a choice of packing up my Apple Wireless Keyboard (which takes up very little space and works great with my Windows Tablet), or using any available keyboard at my destination. Moreover, I can place the keyboard, tablet, and papers in whatever position is most comfortable for me. Finally, I like the way a slate feels to carry around. My next portable will be another slate tablet.
I still wouldn't go with anything other than a Motion tablet PC, despite the crappy driver support and awful wireless reception I get with the 1600. (I hope those problems have been addressed in the 1700). The form-factor and durability of the Motion have really come through for me. And the four built-in microphones have been surprisingly useful.

I just don't see the point of having a convertible laptop where you are forced to carry around a built-in keyboard. I have one of the new Apple Wireless keyboards that I keep with me about 10% of the time even though it takes up very little space. Moreover, I can position the screen and keyboard in a way that is comfortable for me.

Does the ModBook operate in portrait mode? A table that can't do portrait is pretty useless to me. Might as well be a laptop at that point.
At least 100% of those items that I have purchased that had been re-boxed because they "came back with nothing wrong" with them, failed within three days of bringing them home.
I need to work on some prank ideas:

Set up N.Y. back drop in London to confuse New Yorkers.
Set up giant mirror in N.Y. to confuse Londoners.
Project a disaster movie at one end; have people run by screaming.

This thing needs to be open source...
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I just moved into a new apartment and have been reading about all of the new power strips out there, especially the green ones. I was wondering if you had any suggestions about which "green "power strips are out there with decent joules ratings. And when I say green, I mean power strips that have the remotes or switches to turn off all electricity flowing to certain plugs and with at least 2 plugs that are always on. I was looking specifically at sub $50 because I will need two, but if that is not possible I could be convinced otherwise. Thanks!"
