how is AVCHD worthless??? explain yourself engadget....or someone.
sounds like a code-name for Idou.....
I just hope this new line of Nikon's (although dubious) proves to match the quality of a canon.
I love their DSLR's but their compact line is sort of crap.
whoa...am I first?!
YES I'M FIRST!
I'd recommend D60 if you're barely getting your feet wet and just wanna leave it there.
I'd probably recommend the D80 if you plan on actually trying to get more into photography. The D80 has 9 AF points and a buil-in screw drive motor, so you can use many cheap lenses.
to ANONIMOUS & Messyfresh:
first of, I'm a best buy employee, and I feel horrible for what is happening to Ccity employees as do many of my coworkers.. It's sad that Ccity's CEO and board of directors have really screwed this one up and are screwing you guys over. I think its horrible that for someone like Messyfresh who's been working for a couple of years won't be getting any severance as for other employees. Another big culprit, however, are those dumbasses in wal street who really dropped the ball and served as the catalyst for all this economic turmoil our country is enduring. I'm not a business major or anything but I think that even if Blockbuster bought Ccity it would've still gone under.

second, as a former ccity employee, I do believe that management really had a lack in customer focus. At best buy ideas for improving customer experience are always making their way as pilot programs in different markets before being deemed appropriate and effective and making their way as SOP for the rest of the stores nationwide. I also think that with joint ventures, best buy is able to bring different products to the US market. During my time as a customer service rep. I always had to take the blame and get yelled at for ccity not keeping their word on some service plans they sold and that was THE biggest reason why I had alot of upset customers tell me they'd be shopping at Best Buy from there on.

I hope that Circuit City is able to hang in there and pull through. I would much rather have Ccity be our competitor than some entity like Wal Mart who sells total crap for cheap. (yes for you ppl who think that wal mart has better prices: make sure you're not buying an older model that has long ago made its way out of best buy....)
good luck guys! God Bless
Product Replacement Plans???? For laptops they offer Product Service Plans, but they recently changed it to their Geek Squad Black Tie Protection Plan (GSBTP)
Much more expensive but it covers accidental damage, at least.

----Wonder if they're gonna be offering it in all colors.
well I don't think they'd know exactly who it is being that people leave their accounts logged in for a long time like I do. That and I'm sure that there are tons of people logged in at the same time nationwide.
o bebee....come to papa!
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a wireless trackpad to use with my older (2.5 or so years old) C2D MacBook that's perpetually docked to my home theater. Something sleek, thin, not too small, made of high quality materials. Ideally, it would natively support all of (Snow) Leopard's multitouch inputs, and even more ideally, it would have a charging dock / base. The only problem is that I'm not sure that such a thing even exists. Think you can throw me a bone?"
