Still no cooling fan. Still no DTS decoding.
I can turn edge off by going into settings>general>network>cellular data network.

You then just need to misspell the APN i.e. drop a letter off the end. Works for me anyway.
Please don't let Telstra get their hands on this exclusively. They will do their best to screw it up for everyone.
Make it a bit more tolerant to DTS audio dropouts when playing MKV. That is the number one thing that is annoying me about the unit still.

What if you have a particular folder on an external NAS drive that crashes finder when you try to access it in list or tile view? It will open half the time in column view without crashing.

I have tried deleting the finder pref file but no joy so far. I think there must be a corrupt file somewhere in the folder but it contains over 1000 video files and is 250GB in size so it is next to impossible to track down. Any ideas?
How would one go about creating a disk image of an application with all my preferences/settings included?

I have Azureus set up nicely and want to make a backup of it.
A quick question. Can I use the AE as a bridge and share internet out of the ethernet port on the AE?
I have a Mediagate MG-350HD and a Popcornhour A-100. I'll be sticking with the Popcornhour thanks. Much better support and firmware updates to squash bugs arrive much quicker.
I have had one fail so far. One day the computer just froze and I got a flashing folder with question mark. Took it to the repair centre and the tech said it was common thing with the MacBooks. The new drive I have is a Seagate 7.0.1 and I am literally waiting for it to fail after first reading about this problem weeks ago. Some MacBook owners have had three or four drives fail already! Apple's statement of "a few reports" is absolute BS. Seagate needs to own up to this and recall the drives as not everyone is covered by Apple's warranty anymore.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I own an iPhone 3G and I'm looking for a decent speaker / alarm clock for it. I am going to listen music in a mid-sized room, so I want nice quality speakers with solid bass. I also want to use it as an alarm clock, so it would be great if there is such a feature. The price can be low-mid to mid-high range. I was looking at the Klipsch iGroove SXT; it's powerful, slick and the reviews are good, but it doesn't have an alarm clock feature. It's no deal breaker if I can set it up from the iPhone, but I'm not sure. Thanks!"
