I'll hop on the bandwagon as well. :) I, for one, do not fear our new first-posting underlords.
I do agree, however, that the handheld version of this has some scary implications.
I would surmise that this is intended to supplement existing ICE (In-Car Entertainment) systems and would be used as an alternative to the very bulky and expensive tracking satellite dishes. Most states have laws about entertainment screens being viewed by the driver while the car is in motion, so this would be ideal for that next minivan with flip-down screens for the rugrats. It should help minimize "are we there yet" questions by putting the children under the spell of the networks.
I, for one, welcome our robotic dinosaur overlords.
I agree. A bit of clever, that.
I don't know about this car. I love BMW and have owned three of them in the past, but I saw the Gran Turismo concept at the Shanghai International Auto Show this April and was not nearly as blown away as much of the automotive press was. It was slightly underwhelming in the metal.

This is actually from the UK's eBay site. See the link below for the item listing: http://search.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsassZinkyfingersjunior

"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
