PWN 2 OWN over: MacBook Air gets seized in 2 minutes flat {Engadget}

Mar 27th 2008 7:04PM According to both articles, on the first day no computers were hacked into and on the second day, only the MBA was hacked into. How does that make OSX more secure than Vista? Not saying it isn't, but...

Motorola lets loose dual SIM card-packing MING A1800 {Engadget}

Mar 27th 2008 6:43PM Oh yeah - relevant to this... oops... well, even though my first Ming wasn't so sturdy - I loved it. I want to get this one when it arrives.

Motorola lets loose dual SIM card-packing MING A1800 {Engadget}

Mar 27th 2008 6:10PM I had a Ming for about 2 years - it was about a year before it started to act up... I had to replace the body (with one of those cheap knock-off housings they sell on fleabay) because the stylus wouldn't stay in. Then the touchscreen started becoming inaccurate and I had to squeeze on it to get it to kinda work right. It made typing text messages very difficult. I ended up buying the e6 rokr because I like the software on these, but I really had my heart set on the e7 that has phantomized. The rokr is a lot more sturdy.

I'm hoping Motorola pulls themselves up by their bootstraps. I have a feeling this bleeding money thing will get tightened up before the company goes under. I'm optimistic about a second coming for them.

Acer's Eee competition to have lower price tag, more beautiful eyes {Engadget}

Mar 24th 2008 4:03PM I own both an Asus laptop and an Acer laptop.

My Asus was about 2000 bucks and has been in twice for service and is currently waiting for a battery and power cord replacement because both are hosed. Owned it for 2 years.

My Acer (I'm using now) was about 350 bucks from Wal-Mart and the little plastic latch to open it broke off the first month. I'm still under warranty, but instead of just shipping me the 50 cent part in a first class envelope (total cost less than a dollar), they want me to ship the laptop to them at my expense so they can replace the entire case and ship it back... Plus, everyone I've spoken with at Acer is a total jerk.

Mar 24th 2008 5:40AM How am I going to fit this beast in the pocket of my skinny jeans?

This device might just single-handedly bring back the fanny pack. Then perhaps mullets.

Mar 22nd 2008 3:06PM Lucky? I think it looks quite hideous... My 6th grade Trapper Keeper had better graffiti. This just looks like a bunch of nerd scribbles.

Acer Aspire 6920 and 8920G hands-on {Engadget}

Mar 12th 2008 11:39PM I have an Acer - this little plastic latch broke off a few weeks after buying it and their "support" insists that I pay to ship the laptop in so they can replace the entire case and ship it back - costing them money in shipping, man hours, and parts... instead, they could simply ship me a 10 cent part for the cost of a postage stamp and I could snap it in myself. Their support sucks bigtime.

Sumvision Ice 1000 tries to be an iPod touch, fails miserably {Engadget}

Feb 26th 2008 12:59PM You will always lose this argument because in the end, someone will always bring up the Newton. I'm sick of hearing that this or that is an apple ripoff or that something is trying to be an ipod or iphone killer. I bought into the hype and bought an ipod and a nano and both suck donkey nuts. Getting support for them is like pulling teeth too.
