ASUS shows far-out "Aura" concept phone {Engadget}

Feb 6th 2007 12:37AM I don't get it, what's the point of the sliding home bar? Is it really so innovative that I'm the only one that thinks it would be better off as a virtual slider than a hardware piece? Something so small (the slider) is just asking to be broken immediately.

Magnetic strip resistor MIDI controller {Hack a Day}

Jan 22nd 2007 9:24AM Pencils use graphite not lead.

Mobile phones to adopt smaller micro-USB connector {Engadget}

Jan 5th 2007 1:02AM Uhm, isn't it a form factor change, not a protocol change?

Aliph's Bluetooth Jawbone headset sports military-grade noise cancellation {Engadget}

Dec 17th 2006 8:01AM I'm guessing nobody here knows how a stereo mic works, having two mics in the unit will work the same way, it's hardly high tech. Up close, the mic pointing to the vocal source pics up the majority of the sound while the other points the other way and is getting a slightly weaker signal, while background noise will hit both mics at the same time and the waves will cancel each other out.

Qantas to Dell owners: Reveal thyselves! {Engadget}

Aug 23rd 2006 4:46PM Sounds to me like all you'd have to do is print up some nice big Gateway stickers and slap 'em over the dell logo... problem solved.

Knockbox uses WiFi to sell your house {Engadget}

Jun 10th 2006 11:05PM Right. Because most people wardriving are coincidentally house shopping. Might as well put out used car mailers for my neighbors' cars so I when I get the mail I see the cars...

MyVu LCD goggles for iPod reviewed {Engadget}

May 18th 2006 12:45PM Sounds great, does it come with a barf bag and some motion sickness pills? There's a reason display goggles haven't caught on in 20 some odd years...

Australia to allow CD ripping, too {Engadget}

May 15th 2006 11:59AM So basically, enough people were doing it/wanted it that the government made it legal for them to do it, even in the face of arguments from the RIAA equivalent in AU. Why doesn't that work for p2p also?

The iRiver W10, eh? {Engadget}

Mar 15th 2006 3:07PM Now with support for hundreds and hundreds of dollars!

TiVo's new pricing includes box, drops lifetime plan {Engadget}

Mar 8th 2006 5:04PM Tivo, thank you for showing me the light. I'm very happy now with my Mythtv setup. Promptly eat loose stool and die, we'll miss your payment plan about as much as I'd miss my cell phone bill.
