Rumor: Is 'The Brick' a wireless hybrid handheld-slash-Mac? {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Sep 26th 2008 6:20AM If such a thing were made, I'd have to buy it.

*wants*

And my girlfriend will want to kill me for spending all of that money on it...

Possible leaked iPod nano case shows new design {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Aug 25th 2008 5:23AM Who in their right minds would look at a knock-off of a different shape to an apple or creative product and go yes, I'll go for that tiny market. Suggests real.

Although why apple are pissing about with the design of the nano is beyond me.

iPhone hacker says devices "phone home," allows for disabling apps remotely {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Aug 7th 2008 12:25PM If that list really had been at that location (https://iphone-services.apple.com/clbl/unauthorizedApps) since 2004 -- somebody would have noticed "iPhone" in the URL well before the device's launch... so I doubt the test entry is >4 years old.

3G iPhone Predictions {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

May 12th 2008 5:28PM I worry that it's just a 3g upgrade. There has been no mention of gps from the people disassembling the iPhone 2.0 firmware to look for a 3g on/off switch. Unless Steve Jobs has some wicked 3g triangulation thing going on with the operators, I feel we'll be dissapointed.

Probably a better camera too.

iPhoneNotes allows downloading and uploading notes to a jailbroken iPhone {The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW)}

Mar 26th 2008 10:08AM Also, since the iPhone has a keyboard that easily lets you enter accented characters, you can actually use the word passé, just like the cheese eating surrender monkeys intended.

Phosphor E Ink watch giveaway (part 2) {Engadget}

Dec 20th 2007 2:23PM My watch is a strapless Victorinox plain faced, analogue device. It's mostly plastic-- the strap was plastic 'till it fell off and was binned. But it did have a tiny but useless compass in it.

Ut currently tells me it's 3.27 (am or pm-- I don't know) and the date display says 10. But since the battery is dead, it's said that for 3 years now. I rely on my phone for the time, and if I forget the phone, I live in a world without (discernible) time. Ho hum.

Build a digital microscope from a webcam {Engadget}

Dec 18th 2007 3:50AM Ha. In 2000, my old lab spent many thousands on a rig of similar quality.
