Apple does the same?

Oh yeah cause I forgot when I was buying my Macbook I wasn't allowed to see the specs I was getting or even what OS it was running. And heaven forbid I should be able to find any information on the workings of such a secretive product..

Oh wait.... Idiot!
@TheAllmightyDollarama

Are you f*cking high?
yeah, just a shame your DELL will the exact same and than fall apart in 6 months time
Err... That sounds like a load of horse crap.

For a start, the whole thing about mac PS's plugging directly into the wall for added heat dissipation is crap, if that was the case, why would they provide an extension cable to replace the plug. The only reason they give you the plug as well is because it saves a lot of room.

Whats more, to use your XPS analogy, my XPS M1710 does the exact same thing, and that has a 120W power supply, and yet if I pull out the battery it will drop the Clock speed and has completely died if I have tried to play a game without the battery in.
"Description" = "Being really bad!"; "App Name" = "Malicious"

Lol
Haha, did anyone follow the link?

App="Malicious"

mmmmm.... Hi Definition Boobies
Yay!! A cheap desktop for only $499....

Should be nice and cheap in Eurozone then... Oh wait why is the cheapest one on the Irish site €549...

I'm getting really pissed off with being charged a HUGE premium over everyone else for this kind of thing, especially when a large chunk of Dell's machines are made in Ireland..
Haven't these been out in europe for a few weeks?
"Why do you build me up, build me up, Buttercup baby, just to let me down, let me down, and spin me around......"
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
