There are two factors working against the newspapers and in favor of the Internet
1. As more browser and easier and cheaper browser support gets to the handheld devices,, more of today's generation will tune in for news feeds especially if they are presented in small bites. This will directly compete with the television and because of the small bites, it will make sense to get news on the go via browser and not TV.

2. As we move to a greener economy, more people will be thinling of trees and we will move more and more to a newspaperless society. So the newspaper companies may survive but they will be presenting their news via browsers on the internet.
With this we can get the 6 day war down to a 3 day war. Yeh!!!
The problem is that it was uneconomical to issue singles once they were able to put multiple tracks on the same vinyl. They still don't understand that the web allows them to do just that. And further more, I think it would make the artists more happy, because they can produce and deliver something of value to their public more quickly. It would also force them to produce better lyrics and better music because they can't hide the iffy stuff between a couple of really good songs.
Thank you. Thank you.
Now I know that I'm not the only one who approaches business in an unorthodox manner. I call it the 'Game of Business" but I would tend to agree with you and really look at it as the "Sport of Business"
I particularly liked your success 'edges'
Great post.
Effort is measured by setting goals and getting results. This says it all. Thanks for reminding me. I also found that we can get caught up in setting goals and not getting results because the to do list keeps getting longer and more intimidating. My secret has always been to start knocking of these goals as quickly as possible. That I feel is the measure of effort as you so clearly state.

Thanks for the post
Thanns. You have given me a list of motivators that I can use with my start up clients.
Once they did the projections and figured out that they had saturated their target market with RPTV, they had no option but to replace then with the new breed. So now, they can develop a replacement strategy. I make a bet that anyone trading in a working RPTV gets a large discount.
What the price ticket for this piece of memorabilia?????:
Just lost my GF. This may be an inexpensive alternative and you don't have to take her to expensive restaurants.
Just in time. I need to replace my Inspiron that is finking out on me. Why don't we have a price?????
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
