I can´t believe they launched the Czech Republic store before the Mexico one. That is just stupid.

Other than that, great update.

@29

You can already do that. Check the configuration options.

Metal Gear was born on MSX and later was ported to NES. Metal Gear Solid (very different, believe it or not) was born under the playstation brand.

Metal Gear was nothing like it is now and in many ways they owe it to Sony.

I don't have a problem with the game going multi... The main plattform is PS3 so it will be optimized for it, that is all I'm interested in.

Cheers!
I started dating a girl recently and she loved my PSP. She was planning to get an iPod but she changed her mind.

She loved Lumines, Katamari and Loco Roco. I think the PSP has something for everyone.

Just a correction. They promised that PSP functionality would be available for 20 Gb PS3 and it is...

Resistance, VF5 and Motorstorm.

I also own Black Hawk Down, T2, Bride's Corpse, Crank and MI:3 on Blu-Ray.

I'm not sure if I'm getting Armored Core 4. Probably my next purchase will be Rainbow Six Vegas as soon as it comes out.

I got the game and I like it, although I've never been a fan of the series. The fact that is one of the very few decent games available for the PS3 made me get it and put an effort in liking it.

It is really not clear to me what are the resolutions supported. My TV supports both (720P and 1080i) but it doesn't have an option to tell me what is the current resolution. It does look very good.

If they add online play I'll be a happy camper but it is not really a must (in my opinion).

I just wanted to make a note about your comment that the Online mode installed on the HDD would eliminate lag. That is not true. The only thing that would change is the loading speed, not the amount of lag.

I don't like Kaz nor Kutaragi but it is not a requirement. I care about what the congress says, not what a CEO says. Have you ever bitched about what Mark Hurd says? I didn't think so.

Quit being offended by what this guy says and enjoy whatever console you prefer. It's sickening to read so much bitching for whatever reason.

This is a PS3 related website. In Joystiq, people have excuses to being assholes, not here!

They are currently impossible to find. Last time I heard anything about them being on stock was on boxing day, when Futureshop had 1000 on their online store (which were sold in a matter of hours).

"If traditional DVD had "1.3 million" (devices?) 2 years after release I find it hard to believe the HD DVD / Blu-Ray figures of 600M and 4000M are true. That would make one blu-ray drive for every other person on the planet... what were these numbers supposed to be?"

What they said was:

"HD DVD will bring 2.5 Million devices to the market
Blu-ray 6.2 million devices to the market."

That is devices in the two years after the release, that is 2008 I believe.

The 600M and 4000M is referring to actual media.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
