Sandbox. I might actually use the level creator with it!
wow, if anyone could post the opposite of what this topic is about, you succeeded. my future lenovo s10 will be 1/6 your laptops price and 1/3 your massive laptops size. i wouldn't even call yours a laptop, let alone call it a netbook.

i plan on just remotely logging in to my desktop for processor-intensive stuff.
aren't you guys that are calculating forgetting something. if you have a 64GB SSD and have your OS, programs, and files on it, you are left with much less. on my 80gb drive, i only have about 10gb free that i can use daily. so assuming you are writing 3GB a day and with all of the logging/caching, you would be writing that to the same 7-10GB of free space every time. this would alter your calculations considerably

maybe i'm missing something about "wear leveling" but it I can't imagine this process will move around your permanent data.
look at all these people getting angry at MS when this is clearly not their fault. i fully blame engadget for their ongoing posts of MS bashing. this post has no basis besides getting people to rally against MS.
"Which sounds great, but then again so does 3-D holographic videoconferencing ("Help me, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're my only hope")."

if the proposed system already has multiple cameras, taking that to the level of 3D videoconferencing shouldn't be too hard considering the game/software is already making a 3D model of you and your movements. taking that and making it into a 3d holograph can be done using multiple projectors as has been done before. http://www.eyeliner3d.com/

for the mass market in the near future, probably not. but very possible even with today's current technology.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I commonly need to boot a system from an external disc and take a snapshot of the host system. I also then need to burn a copy of the image to a DVD. While I can do it with two separate external devices, and two power supplies, and two I/O cables, it'd be nice to find a small dual-drive enclosure. It would need to have USB, eSATA, and FireWire. Either slim-line or half-height bay for the optical burner would be fine, and space for either a 2.5- or 3.5-inch hard disc. Any ideas?"
