"Wasn't OSX the first to fall in the pwn to own contest this year?"

the reason why they always pwn Mac devices (iPhone, MB Air etc) first is because they then can own that shiny Apple gadget! They don't wanna go for that Vaio Vista Laptop unless the Macs are out...
funny that you would pick a picture of German Cardinal Lehmann, Bishop of Mainz
1) better 3G reception in the UK - don't know whether this is a O2 or and Apple problem, my phone drops 3G and switches to GPRS!

2) no iTunes activation - why can't I use the phone I bought from my provider not just simply work, why do I have to activate it via iTunes first? Why can't I even use the iPod features without activation?

3) free iPhone from iTunes: I want an iPhone (and iPod) that works with every iTunes library - why do I have to delete every file on my iPhone/iPod when i connect it to another Mac/PC? Why can't I even run the apps I downloaded on my phone before resyncing them to my current iTunes library after connectin iPhone to another computer with new library??

4) 16GB is great, 32GB is better!

5) independent GPS - I want to use the GPS module with preinstalled maps, why do I have to use google maps? in areas without reception the GPS is useless!

6) better WiFi antenna - iPhone 3Gs Wifi reception is crappy!

just tried, you can still pre-order 16Gb version at Carphonewarehouse, but they also only have the black models...
the middle one is the German foreign minister, and possible next chancelor, Frank- Walter Steinmeyer ;)
btw...you should have chosen a magenta background for the de.engadget site, just to piss off a well known German telecom company :D
exactly my thinking, I am German (living in Scotland) and read a few of the headlines on the new German Engadget site and the translation is, well, awful and the joke lost. It's simply because of the wordplay in the English language that can't be translated. Besides that, it's behind the original site so why bother reading it...but I guess the ad space will sell well ;)

I'll stick with the English version, Dankeschön!
Why are the commands (New Tab, Save as etc.) in English while the Print command is in German (Drucken)??

Fake or what?
I love that he still uses a floppy drive in his computer :-D
If there are still any invitations left I would love to give Evernote a try, thank you
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I am trying to configure out a really dumbed down and intuitive PC for my grandmother. She recently had a stroke and while she is under my care I would like to repurpose a laptop for her to surf and email her children. Anyone have any experience with what input devices and UI's are really understandable for the over 80 crowd?"
