Belkin BreakFree adds magnetic breakaway connector to your guitar cable {Engadget}

Jul 22nd 2008 5:36PM neat idea, but i've stepped on my guitar cable a million times and kinda like how it doesn't usually disconnect. they typically do not sustain damage from doing so either. this sort of technology is more suited to laptop power cables imo

2003 Bill Gates email reveals frustrations with Windows XP {Engadget}

Jun 25th 2008 8:53PM it's not so bad when my $3000 personal laptop will boot windows faster than my $5000 hp desktop at work. and then the mac OS boots even faster than that.

personally i think it's a worthy tradeoff. since i prefer the mac OS, i can use it for what it's capable of, and then use windows for what it excels at, which for my purposes is exclusively games. and when i'm playing games in windows the only things i need to check quickly are on the internet, which is fully available to me.

Nintendo re-launching GameCube controller... in Japan {Engadget}

Apr 9th 2008 8:24PM i wasn't a fan of the gamecube controller. i don't like how the face buttons are all different sizes, with an obvious bias to the A button. it's as if all games for the system would be designed so the A button is the most used (which may be the case, i dunno). guess it wasn't an issue to most of y'all, but i prefer my buttons to be evenly layed out and the same size. kinda like the 360 controller or dualshock. actually exactly like that.
