So typical and such BS. nVidia came out a month ago with a solution to these problem filled chipsets. the solution? upgrade! they know their epoxy on the chips is f'ed cause they cut corners in manufacturing and the end user has to bear the bullet.

i have a dell m1330 which was replaced with a refub'd box having the same problems still which is now out of warranty. i'm not buying anything until nvidia's new models hit laptops, or go with ATI. they might have horrible linux driver support but at least the chips themselves aren't faulty!!!
well as bass waves are pretty long so you might could get away with a random hickup ever now and then and have the amplifier just figure it out...sometimes digital is your friend in audio
the soundbar is developed around the idea that its in a small semi-square room. did you listen to it in a sound room of some sort or just out on a shelf some where
laaaaaaaaaaaame. its really easy to hit two notes that close. its called a ghost note. you play the first note with the ball of your foot then it the pendal again real quick on its upswing. you can also go toe->heel which makes the cleanest sound but is pretty hard to get down, especially with small feet.
lets not forget a lot of the factory in dash nav systems also tie a lot of the car itself into the user interface. i have a lexus is350 and without the nav my bluetooth phone, engine diagnostic, phonebook, cd and mp3 cd/dvd navigatoin would all be quite annoying on the go with a led output. i'm not saying its worth 2k necessarily, it is a jacked up oem price but imo it really depends on the car and how the navigation is integrated.

some navs are necessities to fill the dash, some like pop ups are actually ugly.

would these not be a better solution? no clip, so no worry about major discomfort. no amp required. 13 bucks more? what say j00?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
