Hmm - I'd like to go, but have to work. Nice job on the advance notification, Engadget!

NOT!
Agree with @emil - if you are eating only food with barcodes, you aren't eating healthy. Nothing unpackaged in the produce aisle (which is most of it) will have barcodes.
With the battery life, whatever streaming you might do would not be terribly long.
What I notice is about 300mb less space on my 1g iPod Touch. I can't see any real benefits to any of your listed features for me, so it's a waste.
I called this already in TUAW comments yesterday. It's the perfect timing - new Beatles remastered albums/sets just out (with Quicktime content) and nobody really expecting it. It may not happen right tomorrow, but I betcha soon.
Whoa! I could care less about Sony and 3d anything. What I want to know is who is the Flaming Carrot fan, and where did you get this sweet graphic? :-)
@Steven Sande - the generic "A" icon is not new. If you use different text entry systems, it may pop up if you select it from the menu bar after using a different entry system, instead of selecting the US flag icon.

This happens all the time on my Macs, where we have the Japanese text input system active. And since the geniuses at Apple assigned the same key command (since Tiger) for spotlight to the key command for switching text input systems, it wouldn't surprise me that something on the default gets screwed up.

If you didn’t' have another text entry system set up, do as @detective suggests.
Reports indicate the install of SL is no problem, it's what comes after.

There is a long list of things that don't work at all or only work part way. Sure, maybe Apple isn't at fault here - developers had the OS seed to work with, or you would hope they would.

But you would think Apple would work with some of the major devs to ensure stuff would be ready to go. Instead, we got a lot of last minute releases to fix SL problems and a lot of apps with no fixes at all.

Curse you Nikon!
This is sad - these are things that mostly help Apple sell more printed content through Aperture.

This app is in serious need of a thorough update.
It's much more complicated than that. Google isn't necessarily the good guy this time around.

The Internet Archive is being supported by Amazon, MS, Yahoo in their bid to keep book content open and free. They have scanned over 1.5 million books and all are available as free. They are concerned Google will get a monopoly over the delivery of all such book content (free or otherwise). The EFF and American Libraries Association are also concerned about Google's impending deal.

Google claims it's distribution rights will guarantee authors some profits from access fees. All the major publishers apparently have inked this deal with Google - we'll have to see what the legal ramifications are, as it's unclear.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
