Wow, talk about brand abuse. No need for the bodykit and blacked out wheels! Why isn't it green?! Creamy/beige interior will wear wonderfully... I seriously doubt many people will buy this and actually use it for hunting, however i think with the beverage replenishment feature i could make my money back on this rather quickly, and hook myself up with a Defender with the surplus.
I think the most inconspicous luxury car... ever? I love it, the
American market doesn't know what it's missing! However as a display
of wealth it is pretty useless... so i don't think it will fare much
better the second time round. You get a lot more flash for your cash
from all its competitors, and even the Hyundais.
I thought the first electric RUF was a much sleeker looking, and more realistic concept than the 'Greenster'. I actually quite like the pure shape it gives the eRUF when the various ducts are closed off or smoothed out.

Ok BMW, I'm begging now... Please don't build this, please don't build this, please don't build this. The X3 is bad enough, I don't want to have to look at an X3 they shrunk and and drove into a wall. The front is so wide and flat that, aesthetically, it looks like the rest of the car can't support the weight of it. This world doesn't need any more ugly, but the sad thing is, i know i will see so many of them :-(

Wheels are nice though.

P.S. Please don't build this.
P.P.S Let's get a production version of the Efficient Dynamics concept rolling instead yes? Ok great, glad you are seeing clearly now.
The appearance of only negative comments on here is amusing, clearly everyone who likes it is too busy playing with the site! Personally, I really like it, think it's the first exciting Mercedes in years... but we're all entitled to our opinions :)

(The site however... well i didn't think the quality was great to be honest, the images seemed a bit rough around the edges, and the 'Visulizer' was rather static.)
I hope number four is what it looks like... lots of small solar cells embedded in a pattern in that long glass roof. Completely impractical but it would look pretty spiffy. I'm looking forward to all of them though, and I think the Kangoo would actually be a good platform for them to start with. Performance isn't a key issue, there's plenty of space for them to work with, and they're often used for many short inner-city journeys.

What with all the new 'scandal' surrounding them in F1 it's not unrealistic that they might pull out before long... at least they will have somewhere interesting to direct all that spare cash.
@Bloke

Yes a concept car. As in the vehicles that these companies spend millions on developing every year to promote the virtues of their brand, to give an indication of where the company is going, to excite its potential customers...

...and they decided their audience was the kind that likes chrome wheels. Though with a front end as messy as that, they are almost a nice distraction. It looks like they designed a nice car, then softened it up in an oven, before driving it into a wall.
I don't think it has anything to do with being eco-friendly, at least not in my opinion. It's just a vulgar and disgusting vehicle.
I think everything is coming together nicely for them now. There is a good coherence between their brands - RR arguably the 'leader' at one end of the market, and Mini with possibly the strongest brand at the other, leaving BMW to fill out everything in between. I still don't have a passion for any new BMWs, but i respect them as a company. Just compare it to Mercedes: They tried to achieve the same structure with Smart and Maybach, but unfortunately despite their efforts haven't had quite the same success.

In contrast, I think someone like VW is going to need to take a good look at where they want each brand to sit, or they might end up with 'old GM' levels of redundancy.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm looking for a solid state drive, around 32 to 64GB, for use in my web server. The drive will contain my web sites and the operating system, either Windows Server 2008 R2 or Ubuntu. Large storage is handled by a separate RAID array, so capacity is not an issue. Rather, I am looking for the fastest, longest-lasting, and most reliable drive under $150 that is suitable to my application. Any thoughts? Thanks!"
