yeah i dont think the free 1.1.3 makes the touch ready for the 3rd party apps. I was looking into it and it looks like youll need the $20 "January update" to be able to install those when they come. Free 1.1.3 doesn't give you customizable home screen which is what you would need.
Wow, did everyone else know that the $20 update is not the same as 1.1.3, i thought the $20 was just for the maps, notes and whatnot, so I did the 1.1.3 update thinking that would give me the customizable home screen. All it did was make the bottom bar in he home screen an ugly iPhone gray. Will I at least be able to download apps when the SDK is ready?

I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
