Bomberman was on the disc, but it was a secret. You had to enter a code at the game select screen to get it. But that was only on the TurboDuo pack in disc that had GoT, Bonk, and Bonk's Revenge.
There's a simple reason for the lack of Japanese Samus Aran doujinshi.. Metroid just isn't very popular in Japan. Street Fighter is hugely popular. That's why you have tons of Cammy and Chun-Li porn and no Samus stuff. And anyway, Samus Aran just isn't that rich of a character in comparison to someone like, say, Chun-Li. 99% of the time she just looks like a robot. It's not like you see her boobs bouncing around in Super Metroid or anything. But Chun-li, she's jumping around in skimpy outfits in every game.
I'd love for Nintendo to debut an external drive or firmware to use third party drives. But I think the more likely scenario is for Nintendo to release a new Wii.. a 'WiiSP' so to speak. Part of Nintendo's business plan seems to be that they release a piece of hardware, wait to see if it becomes successful, then when everyone seems comfortable, they drop a newer version that fixes whatever flaws the original had. They did it with the GBAsp (brighter screen, smaller form factor, better buttons) and the DS lite (smaller, lighter, better battery, better design). They could easily make a new Wii with a larger internal drive and DVD playback.
"Localizing an RPG and releasing it just a few months after the Japanese release seems pretty ambitious for a company that's only released one game (Eagle Eye Golf on the PS2) and no text-heavy RPG's. We're impressed by their confidence!"

Well, it did get released in the US previously for the PSone.. so a translation in one form or another already exists. Maybe all they have to localize is the additional content?
How about Excite Truck? No one ever seems to mention it. I bought it the other day with no real expectations of how good it would be, and it has really blown me away. It's extremely fun and has a lot of replay. Plus, it's probably the best looking game on the system outside of Zelda.
You know, honestly, Badtz's name should be changed to 'Douchebagz'

Listen, you've got to get this through your head.. I'm already married. And even if I did agree to marry you, I'd never take your last name. Please stop posting things like this, you're just embarrassing yourself further.
You know, honestly, this blog should be renamed to "Whine-stiq". Every other post is some kind of editorial on something that someone doesn't like about gaming, and almost every post has a little negative blurb or side note to finish it off. This used to be my favorite gaming blog, but it's getting to the point where reading it has become depressing. It's more fun to read the console-specific sister blogs like dsfanboy, xbox360fanboy, etc.. they basically just repeat the stuff posted on Joystiq, but with a much more pleasant attitude.
doubtful:

That's not a d-sub cable. It's called a d-cable, it's a connector that most Japanese TVs have for high def.
Why announce this on Wednesday before launch? How about last Wednesday, so maybe some of us could actually buy the things and have them shipped in on time?
The point of the chart is that in order to get a core Xbox 360 up to the same level as the cheapest PS3, you need the things listed in the chart. That's why they list the HD-DVD adapter in there. They're not saying that you need those things to enjoy the 360. They're saying that you need them to match the features of the PS3. In truth, they could have included the $99 wifi adapter needed to match the PS3's built in wifi.

Even if you dump the HD-DVD and the Xbox Live, you're still only $50 less than the PS3. All the whining about the PS3's price seems kind of pointless when you do the math.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I need help! I want a small pocket camcorder but I'm not sure which one to get. I don't want to fall into the hype of the Flip because I worry two hours won't be enough. What should I be looking for when considering a small camcorder and where can I get a good quality one with expandable memory? Thanks!"
