I was actually rather nice, even did things for charities and stuff of that nature. Go me.
@Rory
In Autocar's text test it was actually rated as better than the G-Wiz, so, in spite of being dangerous and looking like a shed after a wind storm, it was actually a success.
One minor quibble: I don't like the top stories at the top of the page, preferred them to the side. Having the most recent update at the top of the page and most visible is much preferred.

To be positive, it's cleaner and has tasteful italics.
I've been in a Mercedes store derrik, it isn't like walking into a cross between a hipster convention and the children of the corn.
There was a game for the SNES MUCH earlier that used an exercise bike. It was called "exertainment" and you could bike as the devil (IIRC), so it was easily the best excercise bike-based videogame ever.
Please, don't pretend the Volt is much more than a niche product.

It is, however, an important niche product, and is good press. The Prius isn't a volume seller for Toyota, but it does give them green cred, which is important. No matter how many trucks Toyota sells, they will always be associated with hybrids, and people will assume they're green. GM needs that kind of press, and the Volt is how they get it.
Why not just use freaking buttons? You know, good old fashioned buttons, which can be different shapes so you don't have to look at them, have a nice tactile response, and that you won't accidentally push. Plus, given that a car usually has a lot of space to play with, you can fill the dashboard with buttons if you really want to.
The entire point of a Mac is that it's very pretty and has a nice case and monitor. Since this has neither of those things, why would you want it? If you're going to get an ugly machine, you might as well get a real operating system to go with it.

Ugh, touchscreens are ruining these things. I want a PMP that I can use when I'm not looking at it. This touchscreen fad and obsession with doing everything and their dog makes for devices that are too complicated to use without pulling them from your pocket and walking into a pole just to change the bloody track or adjust the volume.
You don't have a PSP, do you? The battery life on those things is already beyond pathetic, mine is already tethered to the charger almost all the time. Another 20 minutes less it might as well not have a battery at all.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"All of these new nettops have me intrigued. I'm looking for a small, quiet and cheap PC to replace my aging tower in my home office, and all it really needs to do is load Microsoft Office, check email and surf the web. Is there a particular nettop that's better (or a better value) than another? I know it's a rather new segment, but hopefully someone has taken a chance on one already. Thanks!"
