I already will not buy this piece of crap. I do not understand why corporate entities have to plaster their logos everywhere. You sure don't see that with the iPod, which is why I purchased it.
This thing looks like crap. Am I to assume Lenovo has something to do with this device as well ?
OK. How many of you people work for cellphone companies and are now trying to create this artificial sense of demand amongst our youth ? Don't everyone raise their hands now.
Black stands for the NSA listening in on your cellphone calls. Again. Why should I pay for a cellphone when the government has made the technology in such a way where I have exactly no privacy period. Who cares about black. I'm more worried about that big ugly Verizon logo.
Sounds like the mob. I doubt we'll see these on eBay.
Just use a mapsco. You say "reasonably priced" ??? Anything above 40 bucks so the fed can monitor my position at anytime and then cutoff my GPS signal whenever they feel like it does not sound like a "reasonable" deal to me. Save your money and buy a paper map. The feds can't monitor paper...yet.
So let me get this straight. The true gamers that will be buying this "game console" are the true gamers that have been use to the playstation line for nearly 15 or so years. And Sony's gift to its fanbase is a $600.00 markup ??? Uhm. Last time I checked, gamers were losing their programming jobs to India, Korea, and China, and now they want to stab us in the back again with a blue ray player that will probably be riddled with as many bugs as the infamous CD READ error on the PS2. No thanks. I aint buying anymore nextgen consoles until I see actual talent creating the video games.
I don't even see why people pay for phones anymore. If the NSA wants all consumers to converse on networks that they all ready control, why should I pay for an antiquated phone that does less on a network that had been developed with tax payers money in the first place? Seems like these businesses are just around to reuse old technology that they know is less secure than ground lines, rather than actually using their profits to maximize their so called innovation and technological superiority as their product ads depict. No one wants to put wifi into cellphone because who would then use the actual compromised phone distributors to connect to the internet. Cellphones would be as useless as these throw aways with regards to the war against a free America....er...I mean war on terror.
Looks like we are just waiting for the NSA to figure out ways through-out the new networking protocols. Way to go !!!
"there is NO POSSIBLE WAY they can record the substance of the conversations; the band width required would be astronomical. "

I beg to differ. There is no possible way while using our existing technological apparatus...but you don't really think the NSA uses Intel processors and typical fiber for their work now do you ? Get real. This is the same government that had been using stealth technology since the 1960's before anyone even knew what stealth was. Anyhow...I advise everyone to look at this link.

"I'm pretty much a complete noob when it comes to camera stuff. My wife loves to take pictures, though. So much so that she literally wore out her first point and shoot camera, and the Kodak Z712 I bought for her less than two years ago is starting to act up as well. To compound the matter, we are expecting our first born sometime next year. I fear the Kodak just isn't going to cut it any longer. What would be the best starter DSLR to get? She hates missing photo opportunities due to camera 'lag' so speed would definitely be at the top of the list. Photo quality and features would be next. Price should be no more than $800. I'm not interested in video capabilities."
