That's not the sun, it's a spotlight from a ship.
Well, it appears as though the mic and center button work fine with the iPhone (like all currently released iPhone compatible headsets). So the only thing missing is the volume. I can live with that. I'll order them as soon as my V-Moda's die...

How hard could it be for Apple to release iPhone specific in-ear buds like these? You know, without the volume controls, but with the button and mic...

I'm hoping someone tries these out with an iPhone to confirm whether or not the mic and button work, I can live without volume controls...but mic and button are important, and the carrying case thing is nice too.
I'll take it if nobody else wants it...
"...which have been providing us with additional five minute segments of sleep since time immemorial."

I don't know what alternate universe you're writing this from, or what goofy alarm clocks you've been using, but in my lifetime I have YET to see any alarm clock give you a paltry 5 minute interval. Most in my experience have provided a full 9 minutes of extra sleep per snooze.
Hmmm, uglier than the original. Let's hope they've at least fixed the astronomically high failure rates this time around (see reviews on apple or amazon to see what I'm talking about). I returned mine twice, and the 2nd pair is faulty out of the box. I've given up on this company.
I don't know about the reliability of the Vibe Duos but I thought everything else was pretty good, the sound, and style were great. If you go over to apple.com and look at the reviews for these things, you'll see that the majority of people have had one or both sides fail after a few months. They've corrected the issue, so I'm told, so I'll be sending mine in for warranty replacement (1 yr).
The price changed back to $449 as I added it to my cart.
@Flashpoint

Are you crazy?

I had a cover on my screen for about a month and I had no trouble using the touchscreen whatsoever. My friend has another style of cover for his screen and also has no problems. In addition you can buy screen protectors at the Apple Store, why would the sell them if you can't use the touch screen when you apply them as you state?

I took my screen protector off in July last year and have carried my iPhone in my pocket and have certainly NOT gone out of my way to treat it with the respect it deserves, and between my wife and myself (both have iPhones) we have yet to scratch the screen or crack the screen. My wife has dropped the phone on pavement several times with no ill effect.

All this to say that the iPhone has EASILY the most durable screen I have ever used on ANY cell phone I have ever seen. No need for protectors IMHO.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
