The first, and most important, part of this discussion is noted here by Erick.

Both OSs on both phones don't mean a whole lot when it comes to the general public. If you think the average Wal-Mart shopper is going to be hunting down a cell phone simply because its running Android, you're nuts.

Don't get me wrong. I shop there too. Sometimes I have to. Thing is, looking around there, it's not a big techie type of store with techie types of shoppers. Hell, Best Buy is really not even such a store in reality. It just plays one on tv.

The iPhone is badass plain and simple. As a former three different generation Treo user (ending with my old Treo 650) and even delving into Windows Mobile with a Sprint phone I had once, I can tell you that the iPhone does it all well. Its a great music and video device, PIM and phone. Nothing has ever really done that for me before this. And I flat out loved my Treo 650. It was the closest.

I would have to say that you are smoking crack to think that this OS (or anything with the OS on it) will outsell the iPhone.

First off, like noted above, I wanna point out it's not a phone but merely an OS.

Second, have you ever seen hype like there is around the iPhone for anything? Maybe the Razr as far as cells go.

Third, Apple has marketing down to a science. Their commercials and ads are amazing. You cannot deny that.
Yeah, because Microsoft never tries to make money from anyone. Good call cueball.

Hey, at least Apple's products are made well. (Forgive me my beloved Xbox 360).

Where did they dig up this turd to run the company?
Yeah, I think this Footloose poster is morally unacceptable.
FYI, these movies aren't 25GB in size...none of them Blu-Ray or HD DVD.
No bubbles here.

I did have a stuck pixel (blue all the time) right in the middle of the screen. Totally sucked when watching vids. But, I took care of that. I accidently slammed my iPhone in my car door and had to buy a new one.

Its immaculate!
Man, it took way too long for 3rd parties to come out with speakers for this device.

Happy its coming along now. I'm thinking about the Altec Lansing Orbit iM207 though. Read great things about it.
It does not matter which one of these formats "wins". They both have already lost.

Ever heard of downloading or streaming? You wanna see what's going to "win"??? Check out either iTunes rentals or Netflix "Watch it now".

P.S. I have HD DVD and love it. Oh no, I'll have to possibly pick up a load of movies for next to nothing that play back in the highest resolution ever available in my home. What am I to do???
Okay, I agree that both formats have their benefits. I personally went with HD DVD for two reasons. 1. I got the player for the XBox 360 for free (even though it is super cheap). 2. HD DVD has networked capabilities that are pretty damn slick. If you haven't seen it in action, check out the "Transformers" HD DVD with the bonus downloadable Web content. Its pretty slick and the movie looks fantastic on it.

BRay is a winner primarily for the amount of data that you can jam on a disc. They both look similar picture wise and there's really no difference.

I will say this to the Sony fanboys. Anybody who knows a damn thing about video at all knows that the better format does not always win. And that the higher capacity format is not always automatically the best. Just ask Sony about BETAMAX. It was far superior to VHS. The only reason VHS ended up the mainstream format is that it had the ability to record 8hours per tape in EP mode. The resolution and the dependability of BETA tapes is better. Don't believe me? Just ask anyone who is working in a television station/video prod. studio what format they switched from last. Most will say they went to DVC PRO from Beta. A lot of tv stations are still using Beta or DigiBeta.

Long story short, I'm disappointed in Warner also, but who cares?
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"For a long time I have been searching for a portable device where I can store all of my CDs in MP3 format and stream the songs wirelessly to my HiFi system. The portable device must I've tried FM transmitters, they all suck. I don't want a docking station. Any help? Thanks!" have a display so that I easily can scroll through the playlists (I don't want to use a TV or monitor). I suppose that there must also be a second device that is connected to the HiFi system that would receive the wireless streams from the portable device.
