I think the answer is simple

enable multitasking, just make the device a little thicker/heavier and stuff more battery material in there.

I'd gladdly take a thicker iphone in exchange for mulittaking and better battery life
I currently own two sxps 1340's

things that should be improved:

- upgrade to the newest nvidia cards
- make it a little thinner maybe
- an extra usb port would be nice
- add a higher res screen option (1600x900 or so please)
- speakers arent great; these should be improved
- more vents please, the only one on the back isnt enough
- make the glossy black top aluminum instead (the glossy black is a fingerprint magnet)
- get rid of the capacitive media keys

otherwise I'm quite happy; it is very sturdy, looks great (when cleaned); and the performance compared to most 13.3" laptops is top notch. I also like the 9cell batt option.. 7hr of batt life is great .. I love the synaptics trackpad (although maybe a tad bigger would be nice)
"rubberized" body .. that is a huge selling feature for me; less scratches & more grip

although, yeah.. lack of 3g is bad.. its 2009.. come on already!!
I quite like my dinovo mini too; works great for the htpc

although it is a little pricey
I loving my dell sxps 1340 with intergrated evdo card; my plan through telus is $33 for 5gb, which is resonable..good thing the plan is grandfathered, the current connect data plans are way more expensive.
XBMC

now that the linux build has VDPAU support, the AspireRevo using nvidia's ION platform should be perfect for hardware acceleration of 1080p content.

HD porn... fills up TB's fast..

Actually anything 1080p x264 files up the space very easily... most of these torrents are 4-20gb a piece. Heck bluray rips of any season of anythng can take up 25-60 gb easily.

I will be adding a bunch of these 2tb drives to my unraid server as soon the price drops a bit.
Pioneer Kuro!!!
my telus aircards regularly get around 1.6mbps down, with 120m/s latency most anywhere in alberta.

i hopw telus goes rev.B aswell... I would enjoy the speed boost
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
