No problem DM!

This phone is flippin' awsome. If I hadn't wasted my bi-annual updrage already, I'd order this bad boy for sure.
Being a Nextel subscriber, I'm happy this news was worthy of it's own article, but that's definately a picture of the i850...not the i580. But I can understand getting the digits reversed :-) ***D'oh! Darn Moto and their numbering system...it's fixed, thanks!*** -DM
"And don't worry, neither company would dream of passing along the cost of frivolous litigation to the customer"

*Guffaw*
#4..hmm, that's cool

I just remember loading a (pirated) version of the Vista beta 1 on my PC and it running slow as molasses. lol. I'll chalk that up to a bad copy and hope for the best!
lol I don't even know why people are so excited about Vista anyway. The average computer user isn't gonna have a PC powerful enough to run it.
If, and only if, it comes w/ that 30GB hard drive and DirectTV dish..will I get one of these! ^-^
I'm surprised Pixelator hasn't trolled his way in here throwing flaming balls of hatred to anyone proclaiming to be a Mac fan. lol.

Anywho, 99.5% of my sentiments have already been eloquently mirrored by some of the more logical and rational posters already, so I'll refrain from repeating what's already been said.

I have experienced first hand the heat that comes from these Mac notebooks, I really wish that they'd find a way to eliminate that problem, because I'd CONSIDER purchasing one.
Quick question...

Does this "Pixelator" guy read every article looking for a chance to type up these insanely retarded "You have an apple product and I hate your guts" comments? That's really, really pathetic man.

And the continuous use of the word "fanboy" grows more tiresome everyday.

And pixel, before you come in here responding to my comments...I don't even own an apple product, outside of my iPod. So, unfortunately for you, you CAN'T call me a fanboy.

lol... I see here @ Engadget dot com, you can't have any tech preferences w/o being considered the anti-christ by computer nerds. Get a life people. (and by people..I mean pixelator).

Does the term "fanboy" annoy anyone but me?
First of all..

The term "fanboy" has got to be the single most annoying thing I've ever read. The way you people rush to call someone an "apple fanboy" simply because they have a preference of one product over another is idiotic. You do realize that by calling someone a fanboy of one product, you are automatically declearing yourself a fanboy of the opposing product, right?

In regards to the article itself, like more logical people have already pointed out, laptops haven't been marketed as LAPtops for years now, by every CPU company including apple. So dogging apple on the basis that their notebooks can't be used safely on one's lap really doesn't make sense.

For those who feel the heat issues are a detriment to the term "laptop", I think the main draw of these devices isn't the ability to sit it on your lap, but moreso the fact that it's portable. I personally dont' wanna sit a computer on my lap for an extended period of time anyway.

Just my $0.02.

Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"My father-in-law is heading back to school in the spring and wants a laptop for Christmas. The only catch is their budget is around $400 and he does not want a netbook. He's not very "tech savvy" at all and doesn't need a hoss of a machine (not that $400 could get you one). We would like to get it for him as soon as possible and would love some input."
