I'm wondering if these applications (e.g.: calendar) are ad-hoc application or just interfaces with some common/known applications. Is important to know that, especially if I want to keep in sync my appointments with a smartphone, for instance.

My contract expires on June and I hope to find Android here in NL.
The problem is that I don't speak Dutch and I already got quite few troubles having a WinMo in Dutch, realizing that is not possible to change the language (not to mention that was my first and last experience with WinMo).
So, somebody knows if Android is like WinMo or if I'll be able to choose the language?
I've never trusted non standard size/shape optical media. I'll never tried them on MY drives: you know... just to be sure, I'll try them on my friend's drives ;)
