So... what happens if you put this in a person who can see? I'm guessing nothing, unless they close their eyes.
Same here. When's that iPod Nano 5G coming out? AND THE PS4!

I don't think he's making a reference to anything in particular, and you're reading too far into it. All I remember is that the History channel had a big huge show on it with all these old civilizations having calendars and cruddy methods of 'divination' that all suddenly stopped in 2012. Scary, if you ask me. But you don't see me spending all my money before that date =)

For the Christians/Catholics out there, lemme point out that it states in the Bible even God doesn't know when the world will end. Not that he doesn't have any SAY in the matter, just that it's up for discussion. Maybe it's possible it'll be 2012. And that he hasn't made up his mind.

Haha, just something to think about. =P
OK, I'll humor you.

1. I don't think people should complain about this as much as they do. Sure, two analog sticks would be incredible, it's just that one analog stick is a very good addition, that the DS doesn't have, and it could've done without it, but now that it's added on there, guess what-- you want a second! Yeah, I want a second too, just you don't see me started a whole comment telling PSP owners why this/that should be there.

2. Like the best of the PSP accessories, it'll take some time to be released. That, or they're consumed in another PSP project, like the new PSP 3000.

3. Probably the same idiot who gave the PSP an integrated internet browser. /sarcasm

4. The PSP 2000 came out almost a year ago (has it really been that long?). The last model was, admittedly, a bit overweight, and had big bumps on the back. It needed a slimming down (years later) to be easier on the hands for long game sessions. Vibration? In a portable? NO. Do you really want to have it vibrate in your hands suddenly on a bus? And how are you supposed to see the screen if it vibrates around?

They couldn't just add another analog stick like /we/ wish they could. But insisting they could just have a firmware update and BLAM new analog stick for old games is plain idiotic. Old games don't support two analog sticks. Maybe if they did what they did with PS1 emulation, and had customization options for the controls, then they could get the second stick working for games that used the right face buttons, but then those buttons wouldn't do anything! It would be a minor victory for FPS gaming. Just, it's not really probable on a portable.
I've got me a Razer and I love it. 4000 DPI. 3000 DPI seems slow xD

Well it helps that I have a 22" screen, otherwise it wouldn't feel quite so normal. Anyway I don't have any complaints about it, really comfortable mouse.
How do you know the new update won't add a SIM slot? It could happen if this microphone leak is to be believed. You're acting as if this would be the only update to the PSP if it was released.

The PSP does have a store for digital content, and they're going to have videos and TV shows on it soon, in addition to the games, wallpapers, themes, etc. that's already there.

And another thing-- there has long been speculation on a PSP keyboard. Remember that? Just because it isn't out now doesn't mean it's never going to come.

While I agree that it isn't as dedicated as a phone as the iPhone, what you're saying is that it would suck as one, without thinking about the things that could very well come out for it in the near future.
Sure it will, it's just taking... it's time...
"Can it play Doom" is a more appropriate response, in which case, yes.
It looks pretty red around the etched area...
Hah... yeah... I was thinking the same thing. Thanks for clearing that up.
I don't want to involve myself any further in this flame war, but basically what I think on the matter Clak brought up is that Microsoft doesn't just steal every successful concept other people come up with! Microsoft joining the email bandwagon? It's not like they were the first, or the last. Yahoo, Google, AOL, Comcast, Microsoft, those are only the most notable of hundreds of companies with Email. Search engines. How can Microsoft be picked out among all the different companies who are trying just like Microsoft to get a successful search engine? Most people would pick out Microsoft because they're simply a big company. I don't hear anyone picking on Ask for creating a search engine after google. Then there's the MP3 player side. The Zune and their online shop wasn't the first, wasn't the last. Think of how many multimedia players there have been. While there aren't quite as many online services, they aren't really probable things, since most MP3/multimedia players simply have users put their own music on them. Don't blame Microsoft for trying.

These things Microsoft does after others do them are simply too all-encompassing and common for it to be an unoriginal thing to do. That's what I'm trying to say.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I'm heading to university next year, and I've purchased a MacBook. I'm also taking my four year old desktop, just in case I'm left with no computers when the MacBook is being repaired or whatnot. With only two USB ports on a MacBook, I want a Bluetooth mouse. Budget is about $100, and of course, it needs OS X support. Thanks for the help!"
