Seriously, does it not bother anyone else that when T-Mobile had the shadow made, and made it wifi compatible, they didn't include UMA for their Hotspot@home?

just sayin........

Though one thing I did notice is only the 47inch is LED backlit and they mention none of that for the 52inch. I honestly doubt the picture we're seeing is even the 52inch.
Actually, I'm sorta hoping it makes Apple TV obsolete and Apple has the forethought to speak to LG and attempt to incorporate Front stage into it. With the Advent of PS3, WiFi, etc, there really is no need for apple TV except for the interface, and if they can find a way to mimic that interface via a PS3 or even this TV with licensing/cooperation from apple that would be the perfect solution.

And yes, I know all the anti-apple zeolots will pop up, but can anyone seriously suggest a cleaner interface?

And what are people with Video games systems and those that watch sports supposed to do? The Pioneer Kuro is MASSIVELY overpriced, as the research and development on that system has been long paid for, but shoppers are still forced to pay for it as though they were early adopters, and it STILL can't play a game of resident evil without burn in on the screen, or watch CNN without the same thing happen.

Hey, all the people that bought one of those MUST watch Bloomberg, right?

Get ready for the burn!!!!!

Plasma may look great (And believe me does, especially in fast motion) and they may CLAIM to have fixed that problem, but real work applications say one could easily destroy their $8k piece of hardware in a SHORT period of time.

And lets not talk about film comparison.. I couldn't catch the Bourne/Desh fight details in the theater with digital projection. Most of transformers was a blur. Television wasn't much better except for slow motion. The only thing that helped was my computer monitor and DVD ROM drive.
Buy American?!?!?!?!?!?

Apparently you don't realize HD DVD is a product of Hitachi, another JAPANESE company, or you're just the perfect example of a 14 year old MS fanboy spewing facts you pulled form some website or hoping the readers here are as ignorant as you seem to be.

I don't mind bringing up effects on the economy, but get your facts straight!

When Americans (Unfortunately I am one as well) learn to boost their economy in other ways rather than waging war on countries so the lobbyists and the companies they represent get richer and the actual populace continue to get poorer, or when they figure out that exporting all of their business and keeping none of it in this country and then having to pay the tariffs to reimport their own products, passing that cost on to the consumer whom can afford to buy said products due to the fact their jobs were exported, they can afford to argue about impacts on the economy.

Until then this country is as backward as your statement and post.
I just want to know if it will be able to play streams from my PS3 like the PSP can.

I really don't want to have to get a PSP, since I really don't do the traveling or walking around and gaming thing, so to have another device that can accept streams from my PS3 besides the PSP would be ideal.

Also, the not wanting to get a device that utlizes a, what I consider to be, soon dead technology like the UMD is another plus.

As for the memory, well Samsung has broken the barrier and can go as high as, what? 96GB? But the price would be prohibitive.

The point of going to NAND flash is to cut down on battery life and size, and like any new memory storage technology, it will come down in price for the higher capacities after the early adopters and corporate buyers and tech industries have bought enough and saturated the market enough to make it affordable for the rest of us.
Actually, the thing that makes this interesting is Apple usually doesn't DO price cuts. If they do it's to discontinue or introduce a better product. I agree with the person that stated there will soon be a 16GB one coming soon. That is more than likely true. Also, no one said one couldn't do what is most done with a BB on an iPhone. The most used and best integrated funciton on a BB is the push email and that is mostly what it's used for. It CAN'T view PDFs. It CAN'T view word documents. It CAN'T view excel. In those regards, the iPhone is just like a BB and BB nearly dominates the market right now.

Looks like we now know where Apple was looking when the decided to steal a market share. Except for the lack of push email, it's a BETTER BB.

And to be honest you don't see that many Motorola Qs around do you? What about the BlackJacks from Samsung?

You may see alot of palms around, but those are provided by company IT guys who don't understand they aren't practical. The touchscreen on a Palm is utter crap. I had one, and went to a pearl when I switched from AT&Ts price gouging to T-Mobile.

And that's another issue. The BEST plan AT&T has is the iPhone plan!

None of thier other plans are actually that great, especially if you want data.
Let the hive mind of Engadget get that for you.
"I have a MacBook Pro and an Xbox 360 and I would like to get a 20- to 24-inch display that will support both devices. The speakers should be inbuilt, or there should be an aux out on the display to hook up external speakers. Help! Please!"
